David Fincher's The Social Network is the stunning tale of a new breed of cultural insurgent: a punk genius who sparked a revolution and changed the face of human interaction for a generation, and perhaps forever. Shot through with emotional brutality and unexpected humour, this superbly crafted film chronicles the formation of Facebook and the battles over ownership that followed upon the website's unfathomable success.

With a complex, incisive screenplay by Aaron Sorkin and a brilliant cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake, The Social Network bears witness to the birth of an idea that rewove the fabric of society even as it unravelled the friendship of its creators.

Good deal!

I detest facebook, but I went to see this with a friend who had free tickets, and was surprised to find it was actually a really good film... I'd mentally scoffed at the idea of a film about Facebook, but it was quite different to what I expected.

This is the DVD version of the film
The Blu-Ray is £8 on the site

Great price though for both though!

They really have made it confusing for people having a blue outline on the box... I've seen this mistake made a few time with social network!

maybe the op means the one that says Social Network BV BR, although Im not sure what the BV means also there is no image for it.

it was a genuine mistake as i pressed "high def entertainment" and one of the highlighted products on show was that item which obviously is not high def entertainment.

In medical terms, BV stands for Bacterial Vaginosis.

Not sure that's what you were looking for, though.

at cex the BV stands for budget version - or in the case of DVD's & BR's a rental version

There's a guy at my uni, who looks like the lead person in this. I approached him once, but he was french. It was a non starter.

It sure is a DVD as stated before the cover with the blue edge makes it look like a blu-ray.

Off topic but I made 3 orders with CEX lately for games and out of those 1 was cancelled because they couldn't find stock, other was a completely wrong item and third came without a manual which I need to install the game (no response after 2 weeks). Is that their usual service or have I just been extremely unlucky?

Why bother with Blu-ray for this? There was nothing to look at in the whole movie.

It's pretty much their normal service!
The stuff they list as being as 'available online' is actually just in certain stores - they pass the orders on to one of their stores that has this in stock, so a single order for 3 items could come from 3 different shops all over the country, and the quality is normally exrtremely variable. But they take games in without instructions, so its not unusual to get one in that condiition.

Also, their stock listing is notoriously unreliable espicially if their are just 1 or 2 available online.

To be perfectly honest.. it's only £2 extra for a brand new one on play.com.. plus you might be able to get NUS and or Quidco...

Wat. Erm, other than the great colours and tones which were adopted by Fincher?
