A great price of £19.99 for this Sodastream Jet that comes complete with a Co2 bottle and the plastic drinks bottle.
I picked one up today from the Croxteth ,Liverpool branch and they had quite a few on the shelves and they are also online.
These are still selling for £59 in Argos & Amazon.

Used to have a sodastream machine when I was a kid.......do the drinks still taste cra.p just like cheapest own brands from the supermarket or they better now?
I listed this when it was £12 in Tesco a few years ago & got absolutely slated on here, with derogatory sodastream comments.

They are a lot better now and made by companies such as Del monte, I've just tried a standard Ribena and it tasted great.
People are using these to turn cheap wine into prosecco substitute !!!
Anyone know where you can get proper syrups like Coca Cola and Pepsi?

Ebay & Amazon sell the genuine Pepsi and Coca cola syrup but I've only ever seen it sold in large amounts.

Thanks, I have seen these on the sites you mention but I was hoping for a local supplier (Makro maybe?) Just wondering where fast food outlets etc get there's from. I've actually a full keg set up for brewing with 19 litre corny kegs and a full sized bottle of C02 so quantity doesn't bother me that much.
So weird. People used to say you are better off buy cheap sparkling water from Lidl and the like and making sodastream posts cold

yeah but bag in a box syrups are super expensive and you have to drink loads of it otherwise it expires quite quickly which i find strange. worked out i'd have to be drinking at least 2L of the stuff per day for it to make any sense. but amazon has some bag in box syrups, costco occasionally sells them and there are places like eBay and pub/catering companies that do them.

really not worth it. neither is the soda stream .. expensive, goes flat quick, refills are a pain due to small size of the co2 cylinder, it's only really worth it if you want to start making your own drinks. I made a clone of bundaberg lemon & lime soda since Tesco stopped selling it which is about all i use my sodastream for

Thanks for the link and the advice, guess I'll keep my CO2 for my beer
Anyone know if this would be national?
Non in Loudwater, but they did confirm it is 19.99
    Sold Out
I'd get one if I could get Nuka Cola syrups
The worst thing about Brexit is that you can't buy lime cordial with proper sugar in it any more

Yes it is national, The website has just sold out though for online sales but my local Homebargains had about 10 on display a few hours ago when I bought mine.

Wasn’t that not because of the device but where it was made by the looks of this deal seems it’s now acceptable if it wasn’t really back then.
You can also use Snow snow or slush syrups. The concentrated versions are even better for money saving as you use less than the syrups.

Who knows. Was voted cold though
Didn't someone work it out that it's vastly more expensive using a soda stream compared to buying cheap sparkling spring water ???? Not voted ether way as unsure of the average price for one of these.

but it would have to be mighty frugal with the CO2 to make sparkling water for less that 17p per 2 litres like the cheap pre bottled stuff.

Works out for me to make sparkling water as the 2l bottles don’t get used before they are flat
I think the train of thought it you don’t have to lug home the 2 litres bottles or wherever size in your shopping. Plus you make a perfectly fresh cool bottle as and she. You would like it and you don’t lose the fizz. Personally I use it as I used to enjoy coke cola...but have not had one in the last 3 months since I have used the sodastream. It’s seems a lot of people like the fizzy nature of soda drinks and not necessary the actual taste like in my case. Plus no recycling of plastic waste.

Dont worry about the plastic waste there's plenty of room left in the sea

Well a quick a check, a cylinder does about 60 litre and in Argos is £12.99 so for 2 litres about 43p.

You're not wrong....... I turn my homemade wine into sparkling with my sodastream.
Can't believe these things are still going. utter junk, just buy a shop own brand bottle of pop. tastes better and you'll have valuable space to store it in your kitchen cupboard after not buying one of these

Thanks op, Just picked one up at local homebargains as kids have been on at me to get one, and wasnt going to pay £50+. When you register it you get £10 credit for their online shop (although postage is £3.99) which is a bonus

I saw the Pepsi syrup today in Booker cash and carry £33 +vat for 7 litres that would last a family for ages.
Booker are part of Makro so maybe they sell it as well.

And Rubicon and Irn Bru now taste like crap with hardly any sugar. Another freedom taken from us. Minimum alcohol price in Scotland, 20deck cigs only, bedroom tax and a vehicle tax system that is ridiculously unfair. Meanwhile the Queen invests in Brighthouse and stashes her dosh in tax havens, and doesnt have to pay car tax...
