I have toyed with the idea of buying one of these, but the fact that you can get a 2L bottle of carbonated water for around 17p put me off. A gas cylinder costs £13 - £22 for 60 litres of water, but 30 bottles of carbonated water would only be £5.10.

I had one in the 90s, you get the gas cheaper by returning the old one but it's still just a gimmick you will quickly lose interest in

Everyone said that about my coffee machine. I’m on my fifth. Went bean to cup this time. Wore out four nespresso machines.
How else are you gonna make your dads cup of tea fizzy and watch him spit it all over himself...

The general idea nowadays is to try and use less plastic...,30 2l bottles of plastic....and saves you carrying 2l bottles from supermarket each time.....I find it easier to store soda stream bottle in fridge compared to a 2l bottle of pop as it’s fits in the milk shelf...so always have cold fizzy water to hand...
cheaper in the bottles and also better taste. It is like soda water, too strong but possibly better if mixed with sirups. Also you might want to use proper still mineral water and not tap water. Good as an ornament in the kitchen.

I posted the same deal a few months ago and they were also available on line but soon went out of stock.
I use mine every day to carbonate filtered water then add a little no added sugar Orange cordial or Ribena and it's much healthier than drinking Pepsi or Coke.
I thought maybe it would be another 2 day wonder but I'm surprised how much use it gets and also no more buying wasteful plastic soda water bottles from the supermarket.
Thanks
Use mine everyday, the gas is a bit of a rip off and their £10 off when you register is a bit of a joke as they charge more for the gas than anywhere else and there is a £4 delivery charge. I'll probably use it for the first exchange which will work out at £7 after receiving the deposit back.
Check ebay. There is a person who refil them for 6 pound. Send 3-5 cylinders at once and this should be worth do do it. Or you can refill it at home using dry ice. Check youtube.
