I don't understand sodastream. It doesn't stack up on price.

Not true really in my experience and saves deal hunting + fetching it and storage etc etc. Im 13 months into my Sodastream experiment.

Yearly subscription (12 Gas Bottles) for my use case lasts just a bit over 6 months (we like it fizzy). Total litres consumed approx 900 litres (Syrup run rate indicates closer to 1000 (which would make it cheaper) but going with approx daily usage).

Total spent £670 that's £65 for one off machine purchase and £240 Gas and £365 PepsiMax Syrup (7 bottles a month there about's) so works out at 68p a litre.

So my next year spend based on increase of syrup costs will be closer to 76p but I should be able to get that down as they do regular sales.

Compared to cans which I used before (so not to go flat) Asda are doing 72 cans for £24 which is 23.7 litres so £1 a litre which is price for bottles.

I did also incur costs to get the water chilled and filtered which isnt necessary, but you might want to also factor it in but I think there is plenty of headroom there for that. (edited)

Thanks for letting me know, expired the deal, you can still get a similar deal without 4 drinks (2x Pepsi Max, 1x Pepsi Max Cherry, 1x 7up Free) for £80 which isn't a bad deal, but obviously not as good as the deal I shared.
