I have been looking to stay at the Gatwick Sofitel the day before me and the mrs fly in July. The Sofitel at Gatwick is a beautiful hotel and starts at around £120 for a non flexible rate.

As I say this is specific for those needing to stay at Gatwick airport, and will not suit everyone, but the fact it is a good price for a sound hotel and over the summer holidays is a bonus for all!

1: If you go to: bookfhr.com/mse and search for hotels at Gatwick airport and select your dates. Then click 'Search'

2: You will notice a hotel called '4 Star Super Saver - A' which in fact is the Sofitel. (Still doubt me, read on, look at screenshots, and even check the quoted text. Strangely it has the same 4 restaurants in the same order as the Sofitel).Prices range from £70-£90 for a double room for 2 adults for a night, which is a saving of £30-£50. A good saving for a rather plush hotel that doest have many offers. You can chose a double or twin room. Then click 'Book Now'.

3: The rest is straight forward!

Please see screenshots in first post.

I really do challenge you to find the same, or any room in the Sofitel for less!

Same hotel, same date on the cheapest rate below:

Its not comparable to the Sofitel at LHR. Very tired nowadays. Id prefer the new Hampton and the massive Premier Inn also 'on airport' the North Terminal at LGW. Beds are much comfier if nothing else.

Don't know when you last went, but rooms are lovely. Also the Premier Inn during the Summer is chaos!

Suppose it's an option for a stay near airport!

Good piece of detective work.

Hopefully some decent deals for Heathrow as well in the summer - will take a look

Fully agree, however you need to add approx £3 p/p for transfers. For on airport, it's great!

For my date, it was £18 less, and for me the Sofitel is worth that uplift. In peak times, you will see queues and screaming kids everywhere.

Had it been £29, I'd be staying there.

I recently booked for April at £35.00.

Just had a quick look, if the above link works it should show you a room for £33.00 in April.

You can try to open a quidco browser session first, then open another one using your link and continue on the latter one to complete booking/purchase .. you'll probably find it tracks (I've done this on other sites where they say quidco won't apply and it's been fine ). Worst case scenario it doesn't work, but worth a try :).

If you're happy with something cheap, you can stay at the travelodge from £28 - hotukdeals.com/dea…521

Just spotted this - Picked up a room for £28 last week. You can also get the local buses which run very regularly (and 24/7) from the stop on the main road rather than the shuttles from the stop outside the hotel.

Very true, I just fancied something on airport. As I say, only applies to some people, but for those of us wanting this, a saving is better than none

Hot from me, unfortunately I am trying to find a deal for the Sofitel Heathrow in May, last time I checked It was £300+ including parking oO

Just me and the missus, we are flying from T5 and the Sofitel is connected, and parking directly is the most convenient. That said unless I can get it significantly cheaper will probably just book one of the others and get either the pod or hoppa to T5. I found a 16% discount code for FHR which actually brings the price down to £270.

Right, so if you were to park at Heathrow T4 with their Long Term Parking, it is £100.30. Short shuttle bus will get you to T4 where you can get free transfers to T5.

secure.heathrow.com/baa…ply

You can then stay at the Hilton T5 for £80.33 for the night.

Hope this helps!

Seriously though, I have always thought of doing airport parking as I have some space, but never got around to doing anything about it.

....great price but is there parking for the car while away?

We just booked the Premier Inn for a family of four for £39. Granted it's not available for every date but ours is a weekend in school holidays so offer can't be that limited.
