Okay so here's a little bit of an insight as to what I think of these. These are very good and I rate them highly! That's my insight.

I'm kidding!
No but seriously, the Sol Republic Shadows are amazing imo (in my opinion).
I bought these 3-5 years ago when it was selling for around £100. At the time I wasn't necessarily rich, but I had been looking for a pair of decent, wireless earphones along with decent battery life and TOP NOTCH QUALITY.
Risky as much as it was at the time because I had never heard of Sol Republic, I took a gamble and...well let's just say I wish extremely happy with them. I'm no audiophile, but I can tell between a shoddy pair of earphones and great ones! And these are great. Highs, mids, lows, it has the bunch. Noise isolation was top notch (I say was because times have changed, but still is) and durable as HECK for my pair (I so hope I don't jinx it).

Flashforward 3-5 years, I still think these are the best pair of earphones, let alone wireless earphones that I have owned ever. Till this day I still believe it holds up and would probably still pay the same amount (although you probably could be better for that amount now). I don't even think my Shure SE215'S are better than this, are they're meant to be professional IE monitors. That's how highly I rate these earphones.
Reviews on it are still great (although has gone down by a tad bit over the years), still holds up very well. Till this day I still use these as my daily drivers!
Anyway, enough of my rambling. In simple words, for £39.99 I think it's a steal.

Same price on Amazon but reviews are fairly poor on there.
Isn't that a sports direct brand?

On Amazon, all the big name brands have poor reviews. Even Sony WH- 1000xm3's are 4/5 stars on Amazon. These are meant to be the best wireless headphones out there, rivalling again Bose QC35ii. 4/5 is good but it's not EXCELLENT like everyone says. Jaybird X3's were also rated very well across all review sites. But Amazon have it at 3/5 stars. So when it comes to Big brands, I don't trust Amazon reviews.
I have these. Sound and build quality is great, but the signal strength isn’t the best. I paid £120 for special edition navy and gold. I wouldn’t pay that again... but £40 is a steal!

Republic is a sports direct brand. Sol Republic is/was an American brand purchased lately by HMDX Audio, which is also American. This is a proper brand.
Voted hot for the price and for the brand. If you can't afford the 'proper' expensive brands at +£100, get these ones instead of the cheap no name ones, this is a good brand and you get value for your money.

If you want the earbuds, you can find them here, I've posted this a while ago, too bad the eBay code is not available anymore, you could have got these yesterday for £42.50:

any opinon on these on eBay

I've owned some Bluedio Headphones in the past. About 3 pairs (Which I still have) and honestly, idc what the reviews say on it..The sound on all these headphones are absolutely dreadful. Sound is so muddy and just...uck. Their new generation ones are getting a lot better now, but I am telling you don't even bother. It's still not up to par with any of the brands like Skull Candy or Marley's, and they're not even the best of brands when it comes to headphones and sound.
Bought these from the USA several years ago because they had such good reviews. They weren't available in the UK up until maybe the past year, imported they were best part of £100 as already stated here. They were some of the best bluetooth earphones at that time, I was happy paying $80, it was a good deal.

Now they aren't perfect, the little covers inside the buds to prevent wax ingress come off so easily, but I found it to be no big deal. There have also been reports of connection and battery issues. However now this is in the UK, I see less problem recommending them if you have a valid warranty. Just make sure you use and charge them regularly enough. I suspect a lot of people wreck the battery by draining it flat without realising (not turning them off) leaving them without charge for long periods. Bad way to store them.

I haven't checked out the market recently for new models but even without this knowledge these are easily worth £40.

Mate, you're having a laugh
@vulcanproject and @Bao8aobao - have either of you experience using these whilst running?

Im about to pull the trigger but a couple reviews I read said they're not that great for exercise, mainly as the band moves up and down

@GoOnThen hey buddy, reviews are right. Nightmare to run with tbh. The band flings around everywhere. One bud will eventually fall out and you will end up having to hold or catch your earphones. Great for exercising IF you have a turtleneck, scarf or something like a Nike Snood on (to keep it held in place) but this doesn't seem like something you wanna wear during exercise or runs.

Exercise, this is a no go. Purely on sound though, go ahead!
