yeah you do need to but still a good offer i suppose.

Just ordered mine (3, 2 as gifts and 1 for me to try out!!!)

Thanks heat added

From the sound of it, this thing contains a battery which is charged up from it's solar cell (or a USB connection). When it has charged itself, you can then use it to recharge you mobile - is that right?
At a miniscule 2 inches across and 4 inches tall, I wonder how long it takes to recharge itself from the sun?
Sounds like another christmas turkey to me

Crikey, is this a gadget that purports to save energy but its energy gain is probably negated by the energy used in its manufacture, storage , distribution and final disposal...trying to leave it out for a day's sunshine is pretty tough pre-requisite.

10 hours or so.

I have a solar charger similar to this, I never use it at home (tried but it had to stay out too long and you needed a very sunny day to get a decent charge). I normally use it on holiday when its great. would give my PSP a decent charge or fully charge my mobile phone. For what I use the devices on holiday it was more than ample.

Really handy if on the move and no plugs are forthcomming but I would still carry chargers for must use equipment.
