That actually looks like a good deal to me - strange shop to sell it from though!

Voting hot.

My experience with solar chargers isn't good. Hope this one is better.

Apart from dearer than a mains and car charger, about twice (or more) the size of a mains charger, so for travel purposes a bit useless - unless you are backpacking in the Himalayas away from civilisation, in which case you won't get much out of a mobile phone!

That's without considering how long this will actually take to charge a phone!

Delivery is £3.99 too! Total £18.98

If you want to support the PDSA, (which is fair enough) send them a tenner, and you will still buy a mains and a car phone charger with the change for most models!

I must admit, the bit that interested me is the "internal battery pack" that is chargeable from a socket.....

Presumably nihcaj you own/have owned this so can comment on the time taken to charge?

No, but they as they don't tell us, so my guess is going to be precisely as inaccurate as yours!

Solar chargers as a previous poster mentions, have a poor track record, and this is an expensive way to charge a phone and gamble it is going to be reasonably quick!

In which case, it will also be heavier, not just large!

So, a lighter option - buy a spare battery, they tend to be cheap for common models, MUCH cheaper than this!

Probably does a slow trickle charge.. something you'd best do over-night :-D
