Picked up one of these in Homebase ,Coventry store today. Marked up on the shelf as £7 scanning at £3.50. No wiring needed with this one as it's solar powered with PIR. Around 6 left on the shelf but you can check the stock in your area on their website. Forgot to use the 15% off voucher though so you may get it for just under £3.

Why don't you buy one and tell me?

Children, I bought one last week. It’s not super bright & the Pir don’t work. But considering the weather been pants hardly any sun it still stays lit into the early hours but doesn’t light up the path but can see it giving out lots of light when it gets more sun. But I need light now! So verdict; I wouldn’t buy again. Hope this helps

Or alternatively buy a candle and a match, at least you’ll get more light then this or most other solar powered lights.
