Since 2006 Pluto is no longer called a planet. It is now classed as a "Dwarf Planet", and just one of several big icy masses in the Kuiper Belt.
Same as Smyth toys one (http://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/arts-creativity-music/c-551/globes/p-2510/rc-illuminated-solar-system/) bought 2 years ago for £8 on offer.
Fitting requires 2 sizable holes drilling into a ceiling.
Very weak light.
Is very flimsy, thin wires, hollow thin plastic and paper discs.
Remote has to be within 4 foot to work.
let's focus on the negatives shall we!
it looks very similar with the same pictures but with a slightly different box so I guess it is the same
The Sun takes 3 AA batteries which last about a month with daily use, so might be an idea to invest in rechargeables. It comes off the ceiling fixture easily so changing them is no bother.
Bah humbug, miserable git!
Yes, it's a shame it's battery powered

Patrick Moore is alive and on hukd!!!
I think you mean a 40 year old Virgin, and the answer would therefore be yes...
pluto has been re classed as a planet
Not to mention it would need to be a few miles away if the scale was correct, seeing as the gas giants are so close to the inner planets I can see it's not.
