Handwoven 20 litre rattan backpack. Price with Ikea Family £20, regular price £25. Available in store for £20 where the product is in stock, otherwise it will incur a £3.95 delivery charge.

I was actually looking at wicker baskets for foraging mushrooms, I decided on a backpack style basket and prices on Amazon and eBay were from about £40.

That was when I came across this rattan backpack for half of that price, it made me realise that for this style of backpack, £20 is actually a very good price.

It wasn't designed for collecting mushrooms in but I'm sure it will be durable and do the job. I also get a small discount on Ikea gift cards through my employer which saves me a pound!

In other words it will look shabby and probably fall to pieces.

I am not that impressed with the design either, it is the functionality that counts. It will keep it's shape so the mushrooms won't get squashed, they don't get sweaty in there and hopefully any spores will drop out through the cracks in the ratten and disperse far and wide as I wander along.

An elf's shoulders, or for all elves in general?

I think it looks fit for a hipster. But just imagine, for thousands of years people have carried similar handwoven containers like this, our hunter gatherer ancestors probably collected and transported their berries and herbs in something similar.

Just think of the comfort you can achieve wearing this without a top on and the way it aligns itself to the contours of you're back.
Oh and what size laptop can fit in there?
I've always wanted a washing basket I can travel around with on my back
Interesting.
I voted hot because I think for your specific purpose of foraging for mushrooms that this is absolutely perfect I love mushrooms, but the only thing I’ve foraged is berries and wild garlic!

It is a good time to learn about wild mushrooms, there will be lots growing in the coming months. I found some nice pheasants back mushrooms (dryads saddle) a few weeks ago. I am excited blackberry picking season is nearly upon us! I was walking in the woods a few days ago and found raspberries for the first time.
this looks like a laundry basket??
Great for my door to door laundry business.
