Bought this last week for my son's ps4. Personally I think it's ideal for the price. People will differ which is the norm.

Will be unboxing it an testing it tomorrow.

Free p&p via yodel as well.
Seems decent for the price. Thugbuster let us know what you think
which would you recommend, this or the BenQ ZOWIE RL2755 27-inch. I'm big into fighting games and want a solid 27 inch screen, with semi decent speakers (if possible).

depends what you are using it for, PC/console?, but neither has speakers which you should probably buy separate anyways, (decent from £15ish)or connect a hifi to it, monitor speakers are generally pants, the Zowie is approx £90 extra and does not have free sync, suggest you check out a few youtube vids to find out what you need for your budget. Good luck
This should be hotter
Not sure if it's the same model but the GF27 is the same price at Argos at the moment. Low stock around though.

Looks to be the same but I can't tell if the Argos one has Displayport or not.
Just bought one thanks for the great deal find!

For some strange reason I have encountered blue ghosting! Not just on fast moving objects on the screen...oh no no when scrolling up and down on websites.

Did a little bit of home work and found out that quite a few people had experienced the same issue. A* service from Ebuyer a courier is booked in to collect the faulty monitor and bring me a new one. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.

This is no means negative or a bash at Acer, the monitor looks stunning an was a easy setup.

Thank you for updating me. Really appreciate your taking the time. Think I'll probably hold fire for now
Anything similar with 144hz? Higher resolution ok too
For that price - this is hot
Great price for Freesync. Honestly I can't stand 1080p at 27" for reading text - it's too blurry and undefined for me, but for gaming I'm sure it's fine.

The price difference for 144Hz monitors is quite significant.

I can vouch for this monitor, I'm using it primarily for coding but it holds up very well for gaming and watching media. I have an older model of this monitor too and you can certainly see the improvements that Acer have made over the last few years. For this price, it's the best for the money in my opinion.
Good price for a 27"... but Acer!? They are the Goodmans/Polaroid/Alba of the Computer world.
Worth noting that this is a TN panel, not IPS.
How does this compare? Asus - VC279H 27.0" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor £178 or so. Has IPS but no display port.

Tried to link to Aria but their domain appears banned on here. Not read around to find out why.

Any thoughts on 1060 graphics cards with 1440p 27 inch screens? Bad idea or pends on the game you use?

Is 1080p natural for a 27 inch? I noted a comment about about text being blurred?

I'm not entirely sure why he said it gets blurred, I can only imagine it's a problem on his end.

1080p is a perfect fit for 27". If you are really serious about gaming and want the best experience you should look towards buying a monitor which can go up to 144Hz, it really makes a big difference on the high end games. If you just want a decent size for the price, then this probably about as good as you can get for £140, just turn on vertical sync in the game you are playing and away you go.

It's also worth pointing out that TN screens are arguably better for gaming than IPS, despite being an older technology.

Just checked, you make very good points but apparently it has speakers - just checked for a friend.
The speakers are listed as 1 watt. Don't expect miracles.

The speakers are terrible I honestly don't know why they even bothered, but everything else is great!
