I was in Hartlepool Asda and noticed that there was a huge notice in the carpark stating that they accept vouchers from other local stores. After enquiring at the customer service desk I was pleased to discover that I was able to use my tesco club vouchers. I had £15.00 deducted from my shopping and was most pleased. I dont know if all Asda stores are doing this but it might be worth asking.

........... and you missed out on £60 worth of Clubcard Deals.....

I know on another forum people where a while back Sainsburys were taking these before so some people used the vouchers to convert to clubcard deals online then they took the clcubcard vouchers to use as money off for their shopping!

Hence using them twice.

Some really took the pee and i think got caught out by Sainsburys. Not sure what happened to them but they were using a shed load of vouchers!

Asda - Clayton Green are NOT taking them (boo hoo)

Hereford ASDA accept Tesco vouchers and yes you can convert them online first. Not that I would do that ;-)

Usually they only accept vouchers to the value of 10% of your shop though

Sorry - but tesco clubcard vouchers could be used towards other things like restaurants etc. Even 2.50 gives you £10 in a pub or belle italia!

I think you missed the point. ASDA can't exactly ask Tesco if you have used the voucher already

Fair enough... but using money thats already been used could be construed as fraud... :whistling:

That's a bit of a hard line unless asda specifically ask if they have already been redeemed there's not much they can do apart from refusing them...

He is right tho, almost stealing isnt it?

If you read above they can be used twice! Convert them to deals online with Tescos then take them instore to Asda to spend on groceries. I am not saying do this but a lot of people do and have done so when Sainsburys also took them instore a while back.

As a side note, Mcdonalds should also accept competitors vouchers i.e burger king etc and give you an equivelant of the offer. Don't know if this applies to all stores though as most have now been franchised:)

What do they actually do with the vouchers then?
Do they send them off to tescos to be reimbursed?

No fun when old bill come knocking on your door tho....do your clubcard vouchers have your name and clubcard number on them.... mine do,so if they really wanted to they could track down the people taking liberties ;-)

I am not sure! I havent tried it myself as my local Adsda does not accept them :x but i know from another forum that a lot of people did this last year i think it was when Sainsburys accepted them and they had no comeback. One did get caught but that was because Saiunsburys refused to accept anymore of his vouchers as he had a really serious amount and was buying electrical stuff with it all and the staff got suspicious and stopped him from using anymore but apart from that i dont believe there has been any come back from "normal" everyday amounts been used that have already been used to get deals online with Tescos then cashed in at Asda or Sainsburys but obviously i cannot gaurentee that so I accept no comeback if anyone should try it! :whistling:

I dont reckon Old bill would knock on you door over £10 or £15 clubcard vouchers you cashed in with another store! You would just play dumb and say sorry you must of got confused with which of your vouchers you transfered to deals
Hardly crime of the century as long as people dont take the pee and to be honest i reckon Asda would know this could happen but dont care as you will still be in their store buying their produce instead of Tescos and giving them more profit over Tescos as most people who did use the vouchers would buy more than what the vpuchers are worth which is more then Asda would of got if you had gone to Tescos ifykwim.

I am not saying people should do this at all and i havent tried it personally but i can see both sides ;-)

Agreed, its not exactly Brinks Mat,but there are peeps out there with a couple of hundred quids worth of vouchers and I bet some of them are rubbing their hands together;-)

Think about it, the only way you'd get caught is if Teasco found out. Are ASDA going to send the coupons to Tesco for reimbursment? No, they're not!
