The beginning of the end?? Rumour is that Bunnings are planning a withdrawal from the UK after a disastrous two years of sales.
Personally I had some great bargains but be sorry to see them go.

Me too, if they go much less competition.
Is this on all products in the brands shown in the photo?

Really? They have only just spent a fortune rebranding a few Homebase’s around my area. I thought they’d be in it for a bit longer after that huge outlay.

Went to the new one in Walton on Thames today though it was better than Homebase
They've already closed one of the stores in Cardiff.
Homebase is a lot better value since they took over
Problems started when Bunnings did not listen to the opposing Board Exec, then they shed of all the UK senior management team.

Bunnings expected the UK to be similar to Australia market, but it isn't.

One of the Homebase stores in Norwich has been rebranded Bunnings, the other remains Homebase but stock pretty much the same items.

Heat added for deal find mind.

Now going for 190M loss this year so trying to pull out!
The new Bunnings stores I found have been very good. Unfortunately the business model is flawed & looks highly likely that they will exit the UK imminently. Shame for the Homebase team, but not really surprising given the current situation they are in.
Here in Kent

Ashford: Plans for giant Bunnings store still on track despite multimillion-pound losses
Bunnings came arrogantly into the market where they are top dogs back home. They’re model was crazy, selling bbq’s in winter and making a special presentations of them is just naive! The store near me had thousands for pounds worth of drill batteries stolen, as they sadly didn’t get the UK’s shop theft culture. What’s worse is that Homebase ran a small but albeit profit, prior to Bunnings involvement.

Fascinating. I thought Bunnings taking over Homebase was just going intentionally slowly - takes a while to rebrand shops etc. Didn’t realise that it was all going to poo behind the scenes. Shame. I’ve never thought of Homebase as offering the best value but it’s a shame if ex Homebase stores get liquidated/whatever because of corporate arrogance.
