Yeah you r right, they have changed it.

When is the postage calculated?
Even their T&C's say 'Do you charge for postage and packaging? For All UK and Ireland orders postage is FREE.'

If you click on "Help" it says "Due to recent increases in Royal Mail postage charges we’ve changed our P&P structure and will be charging £1.99 per item with immediate effect.".

I think he is right.

Maybe someone can test it?

I won't be purchasing from Sendit again, for as long as they try and charge those ridiculous postage fees.

If I went to the post office and posted a DVD second class, would it cost as much as £1.99? No, 92p on average for a 1 or 2 disc DVD. And that's not taking into account sendit send en masse by mail franking, thus it costs them less to post.

The fact that they are now charging £1.99 PER ITEM!! is a sure fire way of going bust, anything that may be a good deal and there is some suddenly when adding the joke charge of postage suddenly becomes normal, and really is a bit sad, it cost 0.70 to send a normal dvd, second class, i have sent them many times, and as Grantos1 said, it would probably cost sendit less due to high levels of posting, shame really but is unrealistic, even amazon dropped there you have to spend a £5 to get free postage.
