got loads for my teacher training next year, thankyou!
Most for a penny I haven't heard of, so going for a mystery box! Got Nietzsche for 1p so that's a good find! Thanks OP
Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Nietzsche, Dante, Hardy and Twain. Best 6p I ever spent.

Heat.
Cheers OP, well spotted
As I was flicking through, it seemed to change to £2.80 p&p? Maybe they've spotted it and corrected it.
4 books for 4p great find
Invested 22p. I best not be disappointed.
19p.
That's Christmas sorted.
Thanks huxley1.
cheers managed to nab 9 but will probably end up giving them away

hopefully they honour it
I've liked everything I've read of Nietzsche's so I picked up the one book I've not read. In for a penny, in for a penny?
Ordered 4 different ones (all that was left), i feel sorry for the company and to be honest hope they dont honor it, but i just couldn't say no to the possibility of getting books for a penny each, this site turns you into a monster.
great find OP, they are a decent deal at RRP, 1p is too goo

i reckon these were meant to be £1 not 1p.. if you click in to them they all seem to be £1 now where available through amazon
Damn think I have missed this
Think they've fixed it. 1p for book £2.80 for delivery. I hate it when companies do that. Quite underhanded.

Great find though. Shame I missed it.

They don't have a choice. Amazon sets the postage charge at £2.80, Book Depository doesn't have a say in the matter.

Book Depository is owned by Amazon.

en.wikipedia.org/wik…ory

On 1st August, Amazon Pro-merchant sellers (who don't use Fulfilled By Amazon) were given the option to set their own postage on media items. Media postage was previously set by Amazon, which is why books were £2.80.
Looks like some of them haven't got to grips with how their re-pricing software handles this (ironic that an Amazon company seems to be one of them), so there might be a few bargains happening when they get it wrong.

At the same time, Amazon increased selling fees by quite a bit which really hits cheap items.
You may have noticed big sellers like MusicMagpie no longer do DVDs for a penny + £1.27 postage as they'd make a loss on any sales at that level. If you often buy these penny+postage DVDs you'd better stock up as they might not be around much longer.

There has also been a plague of fake seller accounts offering items at cheap prices, usually from the USA. It doesn't seem possible that they'd get paid for these items, as amazon close then down within a few days, so they may be doing it to harvest data.
Quite often price-matching software of genuine sellers tries to match these prices, leading to more bargains.
Just managed to get a copy of "women much missed".

Thanks for posting!
