I can't wait for this to come out...the latest Sonci releases for the DS aren't as good at the originals.

I'll probably download to my R4 card

I remember this as a kid it was great

A must have!!! Many thanks!!!

I must of played, replayed, and played these again and again! How many more times will they release these games, and how many more times will I re-purchase them!!! Most recently on xbox live for the glunks and now for the ds for handheld versions!

Good find thanks

& fingers crossed for Sonic 4...will this be the return to form!?!

I luff the classic sonics....shame they haven't been able to continue the series with the original charm and gameplay as the originals like nintendo managed to do with mario/zelda etc.

Yeah...be annoyed at him for telling the truth. >_>

Btw....there are genuine advantages to putting a copy on a DS cart once you've already bought the game. e.g. It saves space (1 DS card to carry containing many games), you can use cheats and save the game at non save points within the game depending on the cart in question.

Oh really? So, the first thing you think of when someone says "i'll download this to my R4" - is that they will buy the game, then download it off a torrent site, then put the game on the shelf, in its brand new box...?

Pretty cool nostalgia however I rather save buying this for Sonic 4 - partially excited for Sonic 4 but reserving judgement till it comes out.

If I want to play Sonic 1 - 3+S&K I'll just whip out the ol' Mega Drive 2

PS:
In regards to Sonic 4, anyone else a tad... gutted with:
1) 3D models rather than HD sprites
2) Sonic's "run" looking like he's jogging
3) Lack of speed

I know I'm over thinking things from seeing just a slither of gameplay footage but I really hope they show more footage soon to quash these unfounded concerns.

On a brighter note if you look at the teaser it suggests the bonus levels to be similar to Sonic 1!

I LOVE Sonic 2!!! Not played the others but i will.

The only bad thing about these on the megadrive (apart from the fact that you had to blow on the games to make them work sometimes, lol) was that you couldn't save your game, so you'd spend an hour or 2 playing, have 30 extra lives and 6 continues and however many chaos emeralds if you collected them (i never bothered) yet if you got tired and went to bed before finishing it you'd have to start over from scratch next time!!!

So being able to save is a huge advantage!

True but the sense of nostalgia overcomes the speed handicap
Plus as a kid I didn't know any better so Sonic in my ignorant eyes was zooming!

Don't be daft, obviously you'd open the box to look at the instructions. My original point is valid, innocent until proven guilty. Besides....he actually said "I'll probably download to my R4 card" which could indicate he hasn't decided whether to put a copy on his R4 cart in addition to purchasing the game.

You felt the need to insult and rant at a member and you've done so, you've also been shown that your rant may have been misplaced so there's little point in continuing this discussion unless it's to apologise to telerijj.
