Sonic Forces - Nintendo Switch Mexican Eshop Version - £19.99

Get Sonic Forces for Nintendo Switch for only £19.99 (or less depending on the exchange rate) at the Mexican E-shop.

Although from Mexico, it's exactly the same as the European version with all languages (including English and Japanese) and includes all the bonus costumes. Buy before 24th of November to get the Free Shadow costume.

The game is between £27 - £35 elsewhere, so it probably wont be any cheaper than this until after Xmas.

How to buy:
1) If you don't have money on your Nintendo Account, the easiest way is to change your account region to Mexico (You can change back to UK after the purchase, but you'll lose any money on the account when changing regions).
If you do have money, then you'll have to set up a new Nintendo Account on your Switch that is set to Mexico. You'll still be able to access the purchase from your main account, but you will now have multiple accounts cluttering up your Switch.

2) Tap on the shop icon (on the Switch) and search for Sonic Forces.

3) Buy using a pay method that works on the Mexican store (most UK credit cards and Paypal do not).

Once bought you can re-download at anytime from the UK Eshop. However, if Sega release new DLC, you might have to switch back to the Mexican shop to get it, as UK DLC doesn't seem to work with the game.

No one has found a way to pay for this once you change your region to Mexico.

£45?! Its £16 on the eShop!

Yeah but that is digital, and this is a physical, and it will only be about £40 or less nearer the time of release. Sonic Mania is quite a collectible thing to.

About £9 if you purchase it from the Russian eShop.

How easy is it to get games from different regions on the switch?

Ive looked online but it seems the only way is by creating a new account and using gift cards, not credit cards etc.

It's really easy now that you can use Paypal. If you don't have any money in your account, you can just change the region on that rather than creating a new one (Changing the region deletes any money on the account).

I'm trying to use PayPal but it keeps saying my PayPal account won't work for the region I'm trying to buy the game from?

To clarify, are you saying that you can use your PayPal account on the Mexican eShop if you have first linked it to your UK Nintendo Account and then switched that account's region to Mexico?

Just because it’s being listed, doesn’t mean it’s coming in physical. There were a lot of shops doing this a while back, listing games that are digital only at £59.99.

Thanks for the share, looks useful I have been using the following which appears to be easier to see the GBP pricing:

I have additional information after making enquiries. It is happening... believe :).

Thanks but note point "3) Buy using Paypal or a Credit card that works in Mexico (most UK cards do not)."

Any suggestions on a card that works in Mexico?

Asked for clarification from OP already, no response, I suspect they don't know.

I think I read about it somewhere else too. But once I saw it being sold digitally in shops for all platforms it made me doubt it.
So hopefully so, although I already bought it.

I prefer physical by far, but things like minecraft and Rocket League, I don’t see being sold physical for quite a while.

Looks like this won't work from the Mexican store, the SA one is the next cheapest (usually):

It worked for me using Paypal. I've also heard of people using the USA version of Revolut (As I understand it hasn't launched yet, but if you click here you will get an email to use the Beta version but I haven't tried this myself.)
On previous purchases, I have also successfully used a top-up USA card (like these). The one I used was a Prepaid Visa.

Edit: I just double checked. The Paypal I used was linked to a top-up USA card. I wonder if that's why it worked for me. Anyone want to double check it works with a regular card on Paypal? Sorry for the confusion. I just assumed that because I used Paypal, Paypal would be fine for everyone. Fingers crossed someone can test it with Paypal linked to a UK card.

It doesn't work with UK PayPal accounts. OP should be updated to reflect this because it is very confusing for people who do not understand.

If you recommend using Revolut then it should also be noted that there is a £10 minimum initial topup, no issues in the case of this deal, but potentially on cheaper Mexican eShop prices.

I have updated the post. Sorry about the mix-up regarding Paypal it was a genuine error. I guess really then this deal isn't much use to people so sorry about that again. Although if anyone gets it to work with US revolt, please post! (I tried but I've already bought the game).

Hi, which US top-up card did you use ? Do you know that any of them would definitely work?
Was the PayPal account you used a UK PayPal account ? Thanks

Hi I had some Visa giftcards from prepaidsolutions.com, which I linked to my UK Paypal account.
However, as discussed above, I think UK Paypal only worked because I was using a US Visa Gift card (when I posted the deal I didn't realize this, so sorry for any confusion).

However, in this thread people have suggested Monzo and Revolt.
