"Extremely difficult to source" - unless you know what Amazon.co.uk is.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=amiibo&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aamiibo

The prices for these amiibos fluctuate between £10 and £15 all the time. £10.99 is not a bad price but this whole deal is a bit trumped up though.
Extremely difficult to find for ages? You say that as if it were something really valuable, like oh I don't know, Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water.

Those "extremely difficult to find for ages" amiibos are pretty common in other European countries and in stores around UK too.
my email about said lucario was in stock too...and he is...i not seen him around for a while

Have you got a relevant Amazon link for a cheaper price, other than your generic amiibo link? Amazon Sellers sell them well above the RRP. They are rare. Give us some links that are relevant please and not Japanese versions.

Sorry guys, disagree your a bit out of touch. The scalpers will be all over this. These particular English language Amiibos are sought after and already command a bit on feebay etc. They are a great investment for a collector, and if you just want one to play on your Wii U, in the grand scheme of things this is as good a price as your going to get.

Very cold. Even if these have gone a fraction above RRP, we now all know Nintendo will keep them coming until they're £5.79 on Amazon. Not a deal.

Rare.. really? You're going to use the word "rare" for amiibos? No wonder the words "Limited Edition" have lost its value and who cares if it's the Japanese version? The toy is region free.

Sonic was extremely difficult to source for a reasonable (or even RRP) price. I tried many stores to find the Sonic amiibo and couldn't get it. All marketplace sellers wanted £20+ and Amazon even listed it at £16.44 which was a bit odd.

Other than Gamer_U is anyone actually going to follow this advice, and hold out for this speculative and projected £5.79 potential price?

Exactly. I saw Sonic and Mega Man in a couple of Smyths stores just as they came out and thought I will pick that up next week. A few days later, Sonic and Mega Man were all sold out, and never been seen since. Never saw them physically in any other shop. And Nintendo UK have not had them in stock for ages. Donkey Kong has not been in stock in ages, and big question mark if will be restocked. Visions of £5.79 prices for these particular Amiibos, are fanciful to be kind.

I'll just buy another copy when I visit an Iberian country.

Speculative? Just because you're obesessed with kids toys it doesn't mean they're rare. There are various stores out there which have them but go unnoticed due to being in store sales.
Got Sonic earlier from here when saw it in stock, got Donkey Kong from Tesco last night for 10 and smash mario for 8.50 and yoshi for 2.63

Where are these stores you speak of? So far on here I only ever noticed a single recent Yoshi Amiibo at fifty-something pence deal at a Tesco store in England. And that can only go down as a 1-off at the moment. You guys really need to start backing up your amazing insights into how to get these Amiibos cheap with some good old fashioned hard information.

GAME Camden, Walthamstow and others. I don't post them because I don't consider them deals and I'd rather not do it so if there are actual parents who want to buy it for their kids then they can rather than 30 year olds buying to own kids toys.

I am happy and delighted just to have found a Sonic, Pac-Man and Mega Man for £10.99, in Scotland theres not too many options. The typical Game Store is the size of my grandads caravan. There can't be more than 5 Smyths stores in Scotland (if even that much). ASDA doesn't stock Nintendo full stop. Other supermarkets are not much better.

Was it a known deal? Had about 8 DKs and couldnt find elsewhere then smash Mario was 10.99 plus elsewhere and almost didn't get Yoshi but was last one so I thought id see how much it was and 2.63 suprised me

If its any consolation, I was in the States last year and went to the Nintendo World Store and they didn't have LOADS of amiibo which were experiencing a shortage so if you cannot get them there, that says something.

So for these uncommon ones, you just need to be patient and not bite at a silly price. They did have this awesome Mario amiibo though...would've grabbed it for £10.99....

All 3 Amiibos you are talking about are here on Amazon. You can always get them from Amazon or at least 3rd party ror a tenner. They are hardly the 1st gen Boba Fett with rocket launcher Kenner toy like you are trying to make out.

Well, I stopped paying the £10.99 from Nintendo store since the Gunner/Fighter ones ended up around £5 something on Amazon. Since then i've purchased Mewtwo for £6.99 and Falco for £6.99. The days of me paying full price for Amiibos are over.

Oh, also purchased quite a few Animal Crossing ones for £8.99 on Amazon.

Your just not understanding Amazon or the Amiibos on this deal. The 3rd party sellers, have delivery, sometimes the delivery is as much as half the purchase cost as the delivery is a form of mark up. Half the time they are Japanese versions, not English language. The camel data s hows Amazon have not been selling them directly.

Yes, lets just all ignore the facts, and present false data to pretend the Nintendo prices of these Amiibos are not competitive in reflection to stocking levels, past availability, current availability and the actual price of the actual English language version.

Dude come on, well all know this. The Megaman/Sonic/PacMan ones are not like for like with the ones you mention. They are also more sought after and will get snapped up quicker when they become available. I also posted the under £5 Mii Amiibo on Amazon as it happens. I think we have all picked up Amiibos for £7, none of which were particularly rare however.

Yes you are right, but just to clarity for the people posting nonsense. These amiibos are rare in terms of (a) English language versions (b) availibility (c) RRP (d) proper retailers.

Japanese versions, third party sellers prices on Amazon or other online places without postage included are not relevant.

I disagree. Amazon haven't sold the Mega Man Amiibo at retail price in the last 10 months. And presumably many of their sales in that period until now have been through third party dealers, who often sell it at an above average price from £13-20.

Amazon can't even price match on something like this right now, so definite heat.

I present it as a deal on no false pretences, other than these are rare Amiibo's to find English language versions of at this price. Others have supported this in the thread with their own experiences, and it is ultimately 'HOT'.

What you have done is state you can get them cheaper, and provided links that do not show this to be the case at all. Please provide us with links that give us the Amiibo's for cheaper and we will thank you and tell you how great you are. Otherwise you are contributing nothing to this thread yet.

But no, you spend your time clicking on links of things you dislike just to tell the people who like them that you dislike them. Only 66 degrees when you wrote that so yet another exaggeration by you. The point is you are trying to trump up this thread by saying that these are rare and hard to find. They are not. They have for sale on Amazon constantly if you don't mind paying a couple of quid more at worst. So the basis of your OP is false.
you are clearly taking what the op is saying out of context he clearly means they are rare to find at retail price, most other places have purchased them at retail and now retail stock is getting scarce people are selling them above retail price. these are the cheapest available to buy so have some heat from me. why people give so much grief on here when you are just trying to help people get a good price on an item is beyond me, they must have an amazing life if the biggest worry they have is how somebody worded something on hukd SAD!!!!!

Yep I think it is obvious to anyone that "rare" and "limited edition" mean different things. For the record I never ever stated or mentioned limited edition! The Gold Mario, Silver Mario and soon to be released Gold Mega Man, are perhaps I believe the only true limited editions? Ideally a limited edition item should have a number to reference that i.e. No. 2340/10,000, however if thats not the case it does not necessarily mean its not a limited edition, if there was a production of relativity limited numbers.

Mr Matt

Only 66 degrees when you wrote that so yet another exaggeration by you. … Only 66 degrees when you wrote that so yet another exaggeration by you. I and others who have been hunting and searching for decent prices of these Amiibos have made it clear we consider them hard to find. The only false information is your fantasy made up Amazon deals which you have not been able to back up, despite repeated requests by me. By all means keep spreading innaccurate information and not backing up and making yourself look silly if you wish to. You also keep saying I trump the deal up by posting the facts. All that seems to be happening is your are trumping up your inaccurate information, by repeating it over and over without backing it up (we are waiting!). Nonsense like this riles me, how about you constructively and actively contribute to HUKD, instead of wasting everyones time with this kind of misleading stuff.

The deal has a + which is a wonder in itself with your inaccurate nonsense you continue to post. And if you understood HUKD at all you would realise not everyone is heat hungry. Like when I recently posted the Nintendo Eshop Voucher deal (look it up kid), which was obvious to all would go cold, I stated I did not care, as like with this deal I was just sharing something I happened to be quite happy to get for or a bit less than RRP which was not easy, or in the case of this deal something rare and hard to get even at RRP. So I choose to share this under no pretence whatsoever, but you pipe up with some made up fantasty deals that only you have seen, and did not post on here (but of course how could you, because you have made it all up!!).

So once again, please provide some relevant information on these amazing Amazon deals that only you know about and have seen. Link to some camel data for the actual Amazon sold items historically. Good luck with that seeing they have sold none of these for ages, or for any significant period time. Evidence your wild claims or simply 'pipe down' already.
