Thanks - I'm always happy when I have cake...
A bit annoying how they originally released Sonic 1 & 2 (Ad free) for a couple of quid. They eventually took it off the store and added it back full of adverts. I paid for the original release, but now I can only download the advert version!

Heat for the actual games though. Its a good port.

Just get a genesis (megadrive) emulator on playstore and get game ad free for free

Then you can get Street Of Rage 2 as well

These ports are terrible!

As mentioned above, better off with the emulator and ROM
free is way too expensive if it is enless ads
Noooooo I remember paying 3.99 for this a while ago

Plus Toejam and earl and road rash, and golden axe and and and... Can't think of any more
It has permanently gone free fyi

Still a great game though even with the annoying 30 second adverts between each level.
Thanks brought back many memories for me

This is a mobile port by Christian Whitehead, same person who recreated and optimised Sonic 1 and CD for mobile. It features a new playable character (Knuckles), a remastered zone from the BETA version (Hidden Palace Zone) and a ton of bugs which have been fixed. It also has an included Boss Rush mode, Time Attack and countless other features. So worry not, Sonic 2 on the mobile is definitely far greater than the genesis version for sure!
This game was the sh*ts
👌 👏👋🤚👊🤙🤘
Oh happy days. I loved playing Sonic on my megadrive. I'll be having happy retro flashbacks all evening now.
Typical sega, minimal effort again. The original Sonic 1 which you paid for didn't get patched to fix the interface, but the free version did. Now again, the Sonic 2 I paid for doesn't connect to the online server but the free version does. When you go to restore versions it just downloads the old games.

If my 7700k with 1080ti wont run this on windows my HTC Desire might struggle

Oh really, I only tried Sonic 1 and it was absolute trash. There have been dozens of ports of the original (mostly emulated) and it was one of the worst I had ever played. I guess they must have learned from that crappy release and made this one better. I thought they would have used the same system but just with Sonic 2. My apologies
Bloody hard to play through on the touchscreen
Amazing! Downloaded! Hot hot!! Thank you

Sonic 2 is definitely a better port in comparison to Sonic 1. It has the unavoidable ads now (if you’re playing for free, that is) but other than that, you can see the amount of dedication which has gone towards making Sonic 2 an excellent mobile port. I hope you enjoy it!
Just download sega emulator. Every game ever.

Yeah why play a superior native version when you can play a worser emulated version!
Downloaded this from Google Play - great game but the amount of video adverts is horrendous. Will probably buy the ad-free version.

What I'm holding out for is for Nintendo to one day come to their senses and release the Gameboy Pokémon games for mobile. If they could implement battling and trading over Bluetooth, then they would would roll in money. The nostalgia one can hold in their pocket would appeal to huge numbers of my generation!

EDIT: correcting auto-correct.

Thanks! DLd just because.
I believe they're releasing loads of classic Sega games for free (just with ads).

Lmao pm me to add me on steam prob have 3x as many games than you do pleb. I game on both PC and Consoles don't know what's that got to do with that comment apart from you trying to reach hard

As for the point at hand as someone mentioned already this is the better Sonic 2 by Christian Whitehead also the Genesis emulators are low tier poor sound and visual accuracy and for the Android version not PC the emulator has those plus will use more battery on your phone as it has to work harder to emulate it than to just play it natively in Android base code

Try turning off Wi-Fi and data n see if adverts go away. won't work if it's a game that needs internet connection to play. but my experience of games with ads is they go away if not connected to the internet
Downloaded the iOS version, the game runs really well, but the Ads are annoying and buggy, I can neither tap if I want to see more about it nor close after 5 seconds.
I play this on sega genesis emulator and its fine with the on screen keys. And you can save it whenever you like.
Quick bash here n there is ace !
Al777717 h, 3 m ago

What's your steam account? I have over 730 games on there.

Pm me weab. Also funny how you couldn't also respond back about the emulation talk
Poor little weaboo
