I really don't think they are comparable bands!

They make N-Dubz look like idiots!!1

Good find, seriously good group!

Great buy for those who don't have it, a bargain at under £3.

As good as the majority of the tracks are on this CD, I would only really recommend this as a 'sampler' of early Sonic Youth rather than a definitive 'best of'.

If you've never heard any early SY, go ahead and get this, and you'll surely find EVOL, Sister and Daydream Nation following it into your CD collection.

Add Bad Moon Rising to that list, too!

Oh Yes you can..

Voted 'A' for 'Awesome', I've just bought my first SY album (DDN) and am loving it.

LOL what a crock of ....

I saw The Pixies in Brixton Academy in 1991. An awesome band live. I also have some Sonic Youth albums, whilst I don't mind them they aren't a patch on The Pixies. I'd prefer to listen to Hüsker Dü than Sonic Youth.

Your talking B*ll*ck's the Pixies where by far over rated Hipster garbage, and they where notoriously S**T live, Husker Du, yeah they where OK, but then I would rather listen to Dinosaur JR than them.

But back to point The Pixies where cobblers, Sold a lot of T-shirts back in the day, but then again so have the Ramones, and ask most people wearing a Ramones Tee to name a track and they can't, same analogy as the Pixies.

Sonic youth, amazing. Pixies, amazing....... You can like them both! And they're both great live.

I saw them live I still remember it to this day, they were great live. You just hate the Pixies which doesn't have anything to do with the op's post anyway. I've no idea what the relevance of selling T-Shirts is at all, and I'm even more confused by your incoherence regarding naming tracks, not many people can name a classic Sonic Youth track either. In your mind (a strange place indeed) you appear to think that music is a competition, it's possible to like and dislike bands without putting them in to competition with each other. Anyway enough with your childish hatred for the Pixies, this isn't a bad deal at all.

Mhh, I seemed to have hit a sore point, in regards to naming tracks the Pixies where just a name that people liked to have on a T-shirt because they thought they where cool, i.e. they where more of a brand, than a band.

I don't hate the Pixies, bit a strong word there, what I do think is that they where heavily overated.

And Yes this is a good deal.
