I ordered a pair from John Lewis today for £269.00. They price matched RGB Direct who've had these headphone at the lower price for several weeks. I'm not voting, but a quick Google search will return at least two retailers who are £10 cheaper.

AppleJack85

Fair enough, but you see my point as not everyone will be ordering 2 or more so may wanna keep them. But hope you do get some decent money for them :)

you_gotta_be_kidding

I've ordered two, one for me and one for the wife, she is not interested int he headphones in anyway so I'll be selling hers, I'll be happy with £200 for them...

AppleJack85

Well see that's why I posted this because not everyone is guaranteed to get these and those who do I imagine will keep because these are really good headphones and for free with an amazing phone why sell? Lol

paulsubuk

Good deal But these are about to go very cheap on eBay when flooded with people selling the free pairs on the P20 deal.

Yes I’ve heard all the the arguments about Bose inferiority (much the same as those against Apple) but there’s no denying the sheer quality & build from both these manufacturers for which I’ve always been prepared to pay the premium. Got these beauties over a year ago linked to my all in one computer & they are no fuss superb quality items. More than sufficient for me & an absolute steal at this price. Heat.

scoopsuk

Without getting into a brand based argument - if you want really good sound for similar cost then I would recommend the bookshelf route. You could also pick up some dedicated powered monitor speakers for about £100 like the Mackie CR-3 which are used often for music production. While they do sound good (and it is a good deal over retail price) at this end of the market there are better alternatives. Nice looking package though...

teddybeers

Good quality bookshelfs at least £100-150. Amp probably £50. Pruce will be the same but I'm not sure if cheap amp can beat Bose. My mate owns one of their Bluetooth speakers, I have Bluetooth headphones from them. Booth beats everything else in the same price tag.

rev6

You mean those DVD/Blu-ray home cinema sound systems? Lol :D

teddybeers

1000 Chinese watt And then 3amp fuse in the plug.

Nice to see these coming down to more realistic prices, but they're still almost twice the price of a normal flagship TV at this size like the XE94 or ZD9.

Marekj

Why would residual value at 12 months be relevant? In any case; If you're in a position where you can drop £8k on a TV, then I'd wager you probably won't care what it's worth in a year's time

BrummyGeeza

Very nice TV, But.. What will it be worth after 1 year? 🤔 I'd rather spend £600 on a 55" 4K one & save the rest of my money 💰

My image is 110 inches wide by 60 inches deep, only cost me £260 (BenQ projector) !

VDisillusioned

Yes that's right, they were exclusive to Comet. We had our WM for years and if I recall correctly it still worked fine except the heating element failed, and because kids had turned up we needed a machine with a bigger capacity so it was scrapped. Shame really because it was good quality, looked nice as well. I doubt very much if these new Turkish "Blombergs" are anywhere near the same quality.

liamf12

Had a Blomberg dishwasher years ago and the wife had a few of their appliances before I met her think they were from Comet. The only issue with any was the dishwasher after about 10 years when it wouldn't fill with water. Plastic assembly containing float had filled with mould. Cleaned it a few times to get it working for a few months each time but eventually bought a new machine. Got our money's worth from them though.

VDisillusioned

We once had a Blomberg washing machine - it was really good. Very good quality and washed very well, likely made in Germany, or in a Northern European country by the German company Blomberg. I think we bought it from somewhere like Currys or Dixons who were apparently sole importers. As it became tired I found out that spares were harder to get because whoever sold it no longer sold the brand and that Blomberg had been sold off and closed down. We bought a Bosch to replace it. So to see the Blomberg brand, again, was a bit of a surprise. On further inspection it turns out that the "brand" is owned by Arçelik the Beko owner. So don't duped by all the hype about it being a German brand, there seems to be lots of marketing referencing their German history, but that has, in reality, nothing to do with the brand now. This might be a good washing machine, but it is not made either in Germany, or by a German company.

gr8h8me

These are Beko machines made for Euronics stores. They are ok if you like Beko

escortboy

Never seen it before personally lol. Might include 12 monthly payments when i post something next which has a years warranty. £36 for a pair of headphones, or £3 a month. (y)

sonicdeathmonkey

Good price for this if you simply have to have the 65" version. Mainly the differences for 2017 over the 2016 models are higher peak brightness (Maybe 25% more?) and probably better image processors. Personally at the moment i think the 2016 models will offer you the best bang for buck. Currently toying whether to take the plunge on the 55E6V. There are deals around for these at the £2k mark.

the.porter

If anybody else is services the 65e6 is £2899 at c@m using the BlueLightCard app

David_e

This looks like the UK model https://www.whathifi.com/lg/oled65e7v/review It says "Other LG OLEDs are claimed to offer the same picture for less". If I was in the market, I'd probably save quite a few £ and get the 2016 model.

sinxa

C6V has 3D, but agree the E has improved pic quality (I think due to brightness?) plus in-built soundbar

David_e

Not checked the spec but on the 55" I think the difference was/is built in sound bar, 3D and picture on glass.

I posted this deal last week without the Blu Ray player. I have just emailed them and they have agreed to send me out the Blu Ray player for free (well, I have to pay for it and then they will refund me). So if I get that sold it will bring the overall price down to circa £850 which seems very good value for this telly

jonboyuk

That was my logic. I have sold it for £199! So for my money I got the KS8000 for £800.00 on the button, actually cheaper than the KS7000's current listing on JL!

J9STL

that's not a bad net result if you got £200 for the bluray player, as PRC sell them for £200 makes it a KS8000 for KS7000 money

Like I said in earlier post, this seems an amazing deal. Was in pc world / curry's earlier and this tv is still £1199... Both the KS8000 and the sony KD55XD9305 look immense. The Samsung one is bright and vibrant, where as the sony looks the more natural in colours.
