Why would residual value at 12 months be relevant? In any case; If you're in a position where you can drop £8k on a TV, then I'd wager you probably won't care what it's worth in a year's time

The only issue with any was the dishwasher after about 10 years when it wouldn't fill with water. Plastic assembly containing float had filled with mould. Cleaned it a few times to get it working for a few months each time but eventually bought a new machine. Got our money's worth from them though.

Yes that's right, they were exclusive to Comet. We had our WM for years and if I recall correctly it still worked fine except the heating element failed, and because kids had turned up we needed a machine with a bigger capacity so it was scrapped. Shame really because it was good quality, looked nice as well. I doubt very much if these new Turkish "Blombergs" are anywhere near the same quality.

Had a Blomberg dishwasher years ago and the wife had a few of their appliances before I met her think they were from Comet. We once had a Blomberg washing machine - it was really good. Very good quality and washed very well, likely made in Germany, or in a Northern European country by the German company Blomberg. I think we bought it from somewhere like Currys or Dixons who were apparently sole importers. As it became tired I found out that spares were harder to get because whoever sold it no longer sold the brand and that Blomberg had been sold off and closed down. We bought a Bosch to replace it.

So to see the Blomberg brand, again, was a bit of a surprise. On further inspection it turns out that the "brand" is owned by Arçelik the Beko owner. So don't duped by all the hype about it being a German brand, there seems to be lots of marketing referencing their German history, but that has, in reality, nothing to do with the brand now. This might be a good washing machine, but it is not made either in Germany, or by a German company.

These are Beko machines made for Euronics stores. They are ok if you like Beko

I've no idea. Supposedly the sale doesn't start until Saturday and it's about a 20minute drive so I'm going to review it first. Watching YouTube videos now and it seems OK.

£659 here with no warranty. If you use the code mentioned above it knocks off £50 and then 3 years warranty is £45.49 so still cheaper.

Looks like a one off payment only so still a better price but 0% may work better for others

Grabbed from Dyson with the free home kit and i'm really impressed. Appreciate their marketing is solid in terms of building expectation but the product matches up. Wish i'd grabbed one sooner. Poor old Henry, now lives in the loft

Video looks impressive

I could never go back to a corded vacuum. Recently replaced my DC44 with a V6 Absolute (it has a dedicated fluffy head for hard floor and a head for carpet) as I find the standard motorised cleaner head tends to push around large particles.
I don't find the battery life to be an issue as some people complain about. I probably vacuum more often with the cordless because there isn't the hassle of lugging a heavy vacuum up/down stairs and unravelling cords and plugging in moving room to room.

Good price for this if you simply have to have the 65" version.

Mainly the differences for 2017 over the 2016 models are higher peak brightness (Maybe 25% more?) and probably better image processors. Personally at the moment i think the 2016 models will offer you the best bang for buck. Currently toying whether to take the plunge on the 55E6V. There are deals around for these at the £2k mark.

Accidental damage - are they blaming you for the damage? Did you buy this … Accidental damage - are they blaming you for the damage? Did you buy this from John Lewis?

Yes they did blame me. Luckily I had bought a domestic and general service plan, so they covered it. But really annoyed! I think it happened because of the weird rubber gasket which sticks out quite a lot. I've never had this happen before and I've been liable to shoving a few extra clothes into drum!
I did buy it from John Lewis but they said it's still under manufacturers warranty.

Accidental damage - are they blaming you for the damage? Did you buy this from John Lewis?

I have contacted crappy LG and they have decided it was accidental damage. Claiming a sock was trapped through the rubber gasket and forcing the clamp ring to become dislodged, messing up the rubber. They are truly disgusting. The machine was half full at best and this was a mechanical fault but they are denying that. I am now liable for the repair!
Anyone on here had anything similar?? Please respond!

Has anyone had any problems with the washing machine? I just put a load on, used the download cycle, 20 mins at 1400 spin and kabam! It started leaking and when I opened door, the rubber ring was messed up and the metal ring which probably was underneath the rubber ring was hanging off! The load consisted of only towels, t shirts, pj bottoms and some socks! It was less than 5kg in total.
I will ring up LG tomorrow morning, 9am on the dot! I thought it would be a good idea to find out if anyone else had any similar problems? Thanks in advance!

Hey, Just had our washing machine installed. What do you guys think of the drum and how it sticks out with the grey surrounds!?
