Cheapest I've ever seen this SoundBar, with Richer sounds Guarantee

”This compact Sonos soundbar could transform your entertainment experience.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ 2019 Product of the Year.

Listen to music, TV, movies and more – all from one box
It might look like a simple soundbar, but the Sonos beam does so much more. As well as dramatically improving the sound from your TV, the Sonos music streaming system is well established as one of the best going. With easy access to your own music library plus support for 50 streaming music services, the Beam has all your entertainment needs covered.

Immersive, cinema-quality sound
With four full-range drivers and a tweeter, the Beam gives a seamless sound across the frequency band. The speakers also push the sound wide, giving you a spacious and immersive sound that you wouldn’t credit from such a compact unit. To make sure that action movies have the ‘edge of the seat’ thrill they deserve, three passive radiators give the bass that extra intensity. For the ultimate in surround sound, you can add two extra Sonos speakers as rears, giving you a great immersive experience. Should you require even more bass then simply add the Sonos Sub and treat yourself to a cinematic experience of awesome power!

Easy voice control – just ask Alexa
Find the right music for every moment on Spotify. Search any artist or song, create and share playlists, and get personalized recommendations. Listen on Sonos and control the music with your voice, the Spotify app or the Sonos app. With five, far-field microphones on board, Beam can hear you – even from the other side of the room. (Spotify Premium account required for full features).

Control much more
Play songs, check news and traffic, manage smart devices and enjoy all those other helpful Amazon Alexa skills using a single Sonos Beam speaker.

Now featuring Apple AirPlay 2 for seamless streaming from your Apple device
With AirPlay, stream directly from your Apple devices or ask Siri to play your favorites from Apple Music throughout your home.

Privacy when you want it
Sonos understands that your privacy is important. For this reason, when the microphone LED is on, Alexa is ready for voice commands. When the light is off, the microphone is off.

Easy setup
Connecting the Beam is easy. Simply connect to the mains then plug in your TV via HDMI. Compared to traditional home cinema systems you don’t just save on boxes and cabling but set-up time, too.

Compact size
At just 651mm wide, the Sonos Beam fits spaces ordinary soundbars won’t go. If you want to fit the speaker inside a cabinet or you use a narrow surface to support your TV, the Beam fits where others don’t. Compact height and depth dimensions also make the Beam unobtrusive and less likely to block the view of your TV.

The Sonos system
Sonos gets better when you add more speakers. Play a movie in your living room, a podcast in the kitchen or the same music across all your Sonos speakers – flexibility is key. The latest Sonos components link via your home Wi-Fi but for very best results, linking one component to an Ethernet connection will allow you to take advantage of the famous Sonos 'Mesh' system.

Strength through numbers
The more components you add, the stronger the dedicated wireless mesh becomes. Best of all, because it runs independently from your Wi-Fi, the reliability and strength of the signal is unaffected by Wi-Fi dropouts.

Get the sound your TV and music deserves and enjoy effortless voice control, with the Sonos Beam.

Yes it’s fine for a larger room, my sitting room is 15m x 6m

That is bigger than a lot of houses.

Persimmon could fit 10 new builds in that space.

Poor Bass end of.

Sadly, saying "end of" doesn't magically end the debate.
I’ve had a Sonos beam for about 9 months now. For the £300 odd I paid for it, it is somewhat underwhelming.

I already have Sonos One’s if other rooms which are fantastic.

Although the Sonos Beam has great clarity and depth, it lacks bass - in fact the 3.1 Panasonic sound bar with wireless sub that it replaced was better and that only cost £220.

I’ve stuck with it because A) it cost a fair whack and B) makes the Sonos ecosystem complete.

I will in time pair this beam up with 2 One SL’s which I think will finish it off nicely, but I don’t understand the waxing lyrical reviews - it ain’t /that/ good.

Yeah, I think this is the lowest it has been from RS. Amazon had it briefly around this price, but of course without teh 6 year guarantee. I think this should get hot.
Also 2% cashback via Quidco available
What’s this like compared to the playbar

For small room - better because of the size and price - it still delivers great bass. For large room - the playbar is better but I can argue there are better products in that price range.

Interesting ....what would you suggest for a larger room?
Amazing price - I have had one since day one and it’s fantastic

I have the Kef T105 system. Discreet set up (flat speakers) but partly as I put the wires under the floor when re-flooring. There are wireless options that some prefer. And you can get higher end Kef speakers too of course.

Anyone had lip sync issues with the beam when pairing 2 x play ones for surround sound?

From what source?

TV via Arc / HDMI

Still not very specific - but there were some known issues with some LG models being out of sync and I believe you could only make the problem worse as the slider to adjust would only go one way, although I read a recent firmware update (for LG) sorted this. I also believe that was for built in apps etc. If it’s for an external source run through the TV as a hdmi hub - for example I have a firestick to the TV, then the TV to beam. I have to put a small delay on when I use kodi.

Do you only get the problem when you add the surrounds? If it was fine with just the beam I would send Sonos the logs as that implies the issue is with the Sonos system.
For another option, I see Currys have price matched this.

And if you can get a corporate discount of 6.5% on eGift cards, comes to £298.26. Minus £2.66 Quidco = £295.60. Only a 2 year guarantee though. But I think you should get 6 months Spotify

Got one for Christmas. For anyone on the fence I think it’s a fantastic product.
Great sound and easy to set up.
How does this compare to a Devialet?

Amazon price matched now
Unless you're desperate for voice control it would be daft to buy this when no soundbar can come close to the Logitech Z906 speakers. They're on for £117 via currys. Go buy them !! You wont regret it and you'll have a much better sound plus 1/3 the price.

I keep thinking to up/downgrade my Playbar to the Beam so I'll have airplay 2 but keep changing my mind as technically the Playbar is the better soundbar but just lacks the newer functionalities.
I bought this from Amazon at £319 a few weeks ago and tbh I'm not happy with it. It hasn't improved much on the sound from my LG OLED TV. I have adjusted the settings but to me it sounds average. I'll be sending it back. My living room is not that big at 6m x 4m.
i have an lg oled c8 with beam and surrounds, no lip sync issues, sounds great and no wires, just trying to convince the missus to let me get a sub, but enough bass even without to hear it through the rest of the house

Idk how you can think this hasn’t improved much than a crappy tv built in speaker lol?

Anyone else that’s wondering. Just buy it test it and return it if you don’t like it ... everyone has consumer rights to do so🤪. I love mine and I don’t care if it’s more expensive, it’s really loud and has enough bass to use for a party of people but not a rave.. 😝

Yes i've just done this @ £329, though my works discount is 8% when purchasing eGift cards. Click and collect with Currys and when I collected the store manager did some bonus jiggery pokery and threw in a Sandstrom silver HDMI cable and made the price £326.09 (Less my 8%) so overall £300. Presumably I'll now have to report the price drop and get £10 back as a gift card, as they price match for 7 days following purchase.
Can you also get £10 off with VIP members? Did anyone try?

I bought the beam recently (I have an LG C9) and have had no lip sync issues using HDMI ARC. I’m using inbuilt apps (Netflix/Amazon), Sky HD (Not Q) and Xbox One X, they all work perfectly.

Hey! You can adjust the sync delay in the Sonos app.
I have one of these. They’re outstanding for the size.
Edifier S350DB would beat this bad tho, except cables ofc.
Would this paired with 2 Sonos One's (Gen 1 or Gen 2), make a reasonable setup for TV and music?
I had one, took it back. My Pioneer Kuro plasma does not have HDMI Arc, so plugged in the optical adapter. Turn out my TV will not pass any signal through the optical out when there is an HDMI lead plugged in. I think the optical out for those Kuro screens were for use with the Freeview facility on the TV. I spent hours trying to figure it all out and I could not get any sound from the Beam. Also, if you are forced to use the optical adapter, you lose the Alexa facility.

I did stream some music from my iPhone. It sounded ok, but it's not as drop dead brilliant as some people have said. My ears are trained to high end headphones and a high end headphone amp, so that probably doesn't help. Overall, I do not think the Beams are worth the money. It's an ok solution if you are not fussy, but you are paying a premium.
