Yes with wireless network connectivity. Just because it’s ‘Sonos’ doesn’t meant it’s worth the price tag. You can get better sound quality for less with separates and connect the receiver to your home network if you want to.
Love Sonos products but paying over £300 just to connect non sonos speakers is ripping it

Yes you can but can you get a wireless connectivity account amp that links into your existing Sonos setup? Nope! I have a denon as amp separates system but also use Sonos for other rooms. These things have their place and I can see the need or desire for them even though they don’t suit me.

Also most other companies use Bluetooth rather than WiFi which has many negatives

Not if you want to put speakers outside (waterproof speakers) or in a bathroom ceiling for instance
These have a place just not in everybody’s needs

Sony use Wi-fi (as an example). Sonos is over hyped. You even said it doesn’t suit you despite having some Sonos components. You can get a good7.2 amp for this price.

Right - this deal is for people wanting that particular product at lower than UK price. If you don't like sonos, fair enough, move on. Last time it was at this price in uk, according to CCC was in May 2015.

I agree but I can also see that there are valid applications for the use of this for existing Sonos owners and for when this would be the best option. It doesn’t suit a need i have, it doesn’t suit a need you have. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t suit others and is a great price compared to normal

Because I use Sonos for everything except my tv. I use a denon heos avr system so I could use separate speakers and sub at the front and wireless rears
Great price. Love mine, hooked up to bathroom speakers.
Thanks for this. I was looking at these but decided too expensive to replace my Pioneer XCHM81 with these at £499. At this price I’ll sell that. Also it will look really nice with my white QEF Q100 and should sound pretty good too! For me this was exactly what I was looking for so heat!
I was looking at a Sub yesterday on French Amazon. It’s gone up in price again now but does anyone know if the packaging and warranty would be the same as if I purchased from a uk retailer.
Wish I’d purchased whisky they were all on offer at £540 last week now......
Hot price. I also used for tv stereo sound using line-in, which was pretty good for stereo separation and improved the tv sound. Obviously the speaker wires were somewhat at odds with the wireless sonos ethos and was not a cinema experience but I was happy.

Why do people post such stupid comments? How much for a 55W amp that connects to my Sonos setup? Well £321, simples. No one is making you buy it.

It's almost at the level of "£321! I could buy some completely unrelated alternative for that!" kind of posts.

Sonos doesn't suit everyone but it is the slickest and best supported multiroom audio setup still. These Connect:Amps are particularly good for ceiling speaker setups or integrating your existing gear (which may be much more expensive - oh noes!) into your Sonos sytem.

Also it is 55 watt per channel so 110 watt in total. I guess it depends on the size of your house but my Pioneer is only 50 watt and anywhere near max it makes my whole house shake! I only live in a normal 3 bed terraced so this will be plenty!

Ignore the plebs OP.

These are great for the money in my book. I've 9 Sonos speakers/devices in my ecosystem and I very nearly got one of these myself.

Instead I ended up getting a Connect (actually my first Sonos purchase, probably 8/9 years ago) ZP90, which is currently connected to my Rega Brio-R, hideously expensive interconnects and PMC DB1+ bookshelves.

For this price and were I buying again, I'd happily connect my speakers to one of these and save some cash.

Hot from me.

Sonos speaker sound quality is not that good compared to true separates. If you want try some, you might be surprised.

I have loads of Sonos stuff but the sub really didn’t impress me at all. Very overpriced for its ability. Could you use an alternative? Is it for Av or to accompany some play speakers?
I wasn’t a Sonos hater but I found the way to load music clumsy a few years ago when we had them all over my work place. Put me off. That’s all changed with Alexa and Spotify integration. I was looking for two good quality single speakers for background music while working at home. Picked up one play 1 and was so impressed with the changes made in terms of integration I’ve picked up another and now this to try as my main stereo amp. I think sometimes people need to be realistic and the top two sensible people saying not for them were right that there is a product for certain needs. I’ve seen what happens to separates and Xboxs etc in the hands of toddlers! Myself and the wife are trying and have already said will have just a mounted TV with sky box and fire TV stick. Think this could be great there too linked to the TV serving as TV speakers and stereo all in one on a high table away from little hands. A very expensive separates system isn’t much use with a jam sandwich stuck inside it Sonos is a great way of minimal wires and good sound that help people either going for the minimalist look or trying to child proof their house!

Not designed to compete with a separate system .Just sold a 6 piece denon separate component system and sonos play 5 gen 2 runs it very close and when you consider it's 1 smallish unit compared to the 6 unit {Inc speakers}I had.
Every person has been amazed by the sound quality sonos puts out.
I presume the sonos haters don't actually own one just moan about the high costs which comes with quality Unfortunately.
Love how the Sonos crew convince us all with their logical arguments, as opposed to name calling and defensive comments so far this piece of junk seems good for bathroom speakers. Well done guys

OK I'm going to use mine with current home cinema speakers and sub to listen to music, radio etc. In the living room.
This is a great price for a good bit of kit! Most people forget that when Sonos was first released there wasn't any Play 1's, 3's or 5's so this was the only way to get Sonos in other rooms, a very expensive way as you needed this and separate speakers hence why they released the Play 5 first. Like a lot of us there from the start we've sold the connect amp and purchased a Play 5, 3 or 1. I sold mine on Ebay a few years back for about £360.

It’s to complete a 5.1 set up. I have a Playbase and 2 ones as tears at the moment. They appear expensive I agree but the reviews lean towards them improving most people’s set up.
Providing I can pick one up at Below £540 it looks like my money would be safe in the 2nd hand market should I not like it and want to sell again.

Do you have a 90’s Aiwa Hifi. The ones with all those flashing lights? Is there a Skol can and a full glass ashtray sat on top of the dusty old thing ?
Some people have moved on with tech, it’s a fast paced world you know. !!

Well now that you have the playbase and rears that really is the only option and will improve it yes.

I already had 6x play 5’s, 5x play 1’s and a play 3 when I started on my av setup but decided to go for the denon heos avr as could get proper floorstanders and subs connected to that and still get wireless rears (room doesn’t allow for cabling due to size etc) so went for a different option but each to their own.

You’ve already invested in that direction so the sub will only improve it

Put two play 5’s in stereo and you’ll never have a reason to sensibly moan about the sound. They’re so different as a stereo pair

How informative. I'm aware of HiFi, so, what are you comparing it to?

Now show me a wireless multi-room system with a better Sub.

The Sub is one of Sonos better products and is lauded by the media as such. Coupled with my Play Bar and 2x Play 1 as rears is a very nice 5.1 solution imho.

I've been more than impressed with my Sonos devices over the last decade.

Something that isn't frequently mentioned is the continuous improvement Sonos make with their ecosystem and apps. They support everything, no silly games with updates etc.

For this particular item it is about the lowest price. That is what this site is all about. I would normally just leave deals like this alone as I would never ever buy a Sonos product for myself but based on your comment I'm voting hot.

You clearly haven’t read my other posts in this thread then!

I own 6x play 5’s, 5x play 1’s, a ONE, and a play 3. I am a big advocate and fan of Sonos.

However the sub was massively disappointing when I had it and tried multiple setups and was, positioning, even went through Sonos assistance and couldn’t get it to an acceptable standard for me.

I have gone down the denon separates route now but with their wireless rears

I have read your posts, nowhere have you mentioned the model or what you had compared it with. Calm down dear.

Your experience of the Sub is very much at odds with pretty much any other Sonos user I've come across. The performance is undoubtedly stellar compared with any other wireless system and in terms of reference and response is well in-line with many wired subs. I used to have a Rel sub... the Sonos isn't a million miles from it!
