That is the RRP price when announced.
Sales tactics?

Good price seeing as its £599 on Amazon. I posted the deal seconds after you, must of had the same email. Don't think you'll find it cheaper, voted hot.

Doesn't say how many watts it is.

Apparently this thing is a beast. I decided on the squeezebox route for now until my radios die and I am forced to change. I have a raspberry pi serving the music and a joggler and two squeezebox radios. Sonos looks good but I don't like that they have no screens. Most of the time I change the tracks via the iPad app but sometimes I need to use the device directly. I like that you can see the album art, too.

That's HUKD for you, unfortunately. I've voted hot, if that's any consolation for you.

I think it's expired now. It's showing £599 for me when I follow the link.

Beautiful looking piece of kit and love my Sonos gear but would rather have a BK Elec Monolith+ for around that money. Have an XXLS400 and love it. Would love to hear one in action though :-)

Nope, the matt was meant to be the cheaper version.
Sonos, the Bose of wireless. The do have similarities. OK to decent sound in small size.

This is hypocrisy at its greatest as I hate the fact that most Apple products get voted cold because some don't like Apple.
In my defence, I would vote this hot based on price/availability.
But my hypocritical side is very much about the fact that I have in all honestly probably owned more subwoofers than I have had girlfriends (certainly in the last 15 years anyway). As sub, driver and amp design are something of a forte of mine, I am obliged to say that if you must have the Sonus badge and functionality then you're sorted. Compared to the performance £500 (which is not a tremendous amount at all in sub-land) will buy you from other manufacturers (as mentioned earlier BK is not a bad place to start) or better still what you could make for £500 (which would be reasonably serious) I am of the opinion that this Sonus will be a little anaemic.

The con is that you would need to buy another piece of sonos kit (connect:amp)in order to use the sub, so its win win sonos, i love my sonos set up so im bias, but i love how it all connects perfectly and faultlessly, so for me this is a hot price.

This is the correct link:
Linkage.

All sold out already !

Sold out in less than 3 days! Confirms this deal was hotter than it's been given credit for. Glad I didn't delay in ordering mine ;-)

Glad I ordered mine before the deal ended!!

Arrived in 2 days and the sound is unbelievable with two Play 3s. Cracking piece of kit IMHO.

Sales tactic, this was originally advertised at £100 cheaper than the gloss version when it should have been released late last year. You are not saving £100 as it was never £599, always advertised at £499 for matte and £599 for gloss. Reason they are doing this deal is that they have cocked up and realised it cost the same as the gloss version to manufacture, so cannot afford to sell at £499. Because they have already advertised the matte version at £499 they are honouring that price for a limited time.
