Sonos One gives you rich, room-filling sound and has the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built in for simple voice control of your music, and more. Ask for songs while you cook, easily turn the volume up while you’re in the shower, or even request a lullaby when you’re putting the kids to bed. Sonos One connects to the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa over Wi-Fi. Just plug in the speaker and follow step-by-step instructions in the app (available on iOS and Android). In minutes you’re ready to play music, get news and answers, manage your smart devices, and enjoy all the convenience of your voice assistant with nothing but your Sonos One. Anyone in your home can take charge of the music. Kids can call out their favorite sing-alongs, friends can skip or replay tracks and adjust audio settings, and guests can request their favorite songs in real time.

Voice control with the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa
The Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are built in so you can play music, check news, set alarms, get your questions answered, and more, completely hands free.

Brilliant sound for every room
The compact design fits just about any space. Put it on your kitchen top or tuck it away on the office bookshelf. It's also humidity-resistant so you can put it in the bathroom.

Stereo sound with two
Pair with another Sonos One (Gen 2) in the same room for stereo separation and more detailed sound. And you can use a pair as rear home theatre surround speakers with the Sonos Playbar, Playbase, or Beam (sold separately).

Build your own system
Easily connect Sonos speakers in different rooms over Wi-Fi to create a home sound system that plays music in any or every room.

Sonos sound
Enjoy clear, richly-detailed sound that fills the room at all volumes, with the superb audio quality that Sonos are renowned for.

Easy to use
Setup takes minutes, and control is simple with the Sonos app, AirPlay 2, and your voice. And you can customise your system to play what you want, where you want.

Choice of control
Sonos One seamlessly syncs voice, app, and touch commands, enabling you to manage music with a single word, tap of the app, or swipe on the speaker touch panel. Combine voice control with the Sonos app to manage all your music in one place. And you can easily access many music subscription services including Spotify* and Deezer.

App control
Take full control of your media with the SONOS Controller app. Available to download for free, it gives you the freedom to adjust volume, switch settings and more.** Using the TRUEPLAY feature in the Sonos App, you can custom tune this speaker for finely-balanced sound enrichments based on speaker positioning, even when it’s incorporated in a full Sonos home cinema setup.

Probably an attractive deal just not an attractive company
Sorry not for me.......
their recent "bricking" decision means I'll never buy their products. Plenty of other stuff around. They have lost a lot of customers for the same reason.

All smart products have a shelf life due to new features requiring more processing power, so I don't see them as a bad company. Apple and others stop support for their products once their new software features need a certain level of processing power. Love Sonos, the perfect dad Hi-Fi!

You don't see the problem with trashing perfectly good and serviceable electrical goods? Don't you think the planet has enough electrical waste?

Good price, should have software support for at least another 10 minutes 😁. It is a good price though, they are great speakers, capable and a very small foot print.
Tempted, but won't be buying any more.

Amazon or Sonos
I live in a small Bungalow. I'm still in mindset that these are silly little picnic speakers that break and you throw in bin.

Good deal. Amazon for me though
Sonos have a standard 2yr warranty, so no need to buy from John Lewis for that reason. In fact if a long guarantee is important get Richer Sounds to price match and receive a 6yr guarantee.

For me customer service was terrible when my Sonos Beam had a fault. Had me recording video, audio and jumping through other hoops. Then told me no fault. Basically I had lost the centre channel, the one which gives you great speech and focus along with stereo speakers to support and add effects steering. Ended up with tinny sound and difficult to understand what was being said on the programme watched. Music was not affected as is stereo so left and right speakers only. Eventually through frustration I fully factory reset my system, Beam, Ones for surround and Sonos sub and this fixed the problem. I wish Sonos customer service had suggested this from the onset rather than me going through the above over 3 days. Still recommend Sonos as other than this hiccup is brilliant, convenient and unobtrusive.

That's strange, you would think the initial report would just show this error. I had a phone call from them when mine was playing up and they managed to sort it for me

I thought so too. Went through the fault reporting process with access to my setup. The strangest bit was they didn’t think it sounded bad or faulty. And it was terrible. Had to download and record Hans Zimmer from YouTube at their request along with other movie and musical excerpts even when I said stereo music playback was fine, just problem with centre channel encoded content. They were insistent. After I resolved the problem I received a follow up email and call the other person couldn’t believe that the factory reset wasn’t suggested early doors as they would have done it. An easy diagnosis and fix for him. Nonetheless it has been perfect other than that glitch and I’ve had Beam for 18mths so no problem.
Can confirm Currys will price match and can be added on a 6 monthly plan

Sorely tempted to buy a pair as rear speakers for my TV setup. Already have a Playbar and Sub.

Yes, it's ok from a commercial prospective, the problem is with physically destroying a perfectly fine and expensive piece of equipment that someone else could have used. The environmentally conscius decision there would have been collecting the old ones and reselling them refurbished.

I do see a problem with it being wasteful. But you as a consumer have options. You don’t like it? Don’t take that offer. You do want to take the offer? Then take the bricked device to a WEEE collection point so it’s recycled.
