Congratulations on your first deal @PandaLove3

Are these good as rear surround speakers to combine with Arc? I was thinking of getting One SL as rears, as I don't want to speand a lot of money on rears. (edited)

They’re good but you might want to consider the cheaper Sonos/IKEA bookshelf speakers as rears. Sonically the same - as rears.

Good price! The new one launches at £90 more. Time will tell if it's worth the extra in terms of audio (with biggest difference being bass and soundstage) .

But I think biggest advantages on the new One is Audio input (finally 3.5mm!) and Bluetooth.

    Happy shopping!

The new one loses Google Assistant.

Paid £110ish for mine a while back direct from Sonos refurbished, so I'd also suggest holding off - better deals aeound the corner as these are cleared

Def hold off on these. New models just been released and these will be cleared

Got mine free a while ago via an EE promo....Great sound, horrid app....hardly used it and been sat in a cupboard for ages.

I prefer my Libratone Zipp2's and my minirigs when out and about...

New ones deffo a more tasty proposition with line-in and Bluetooth (edited)

Does anymore know if they can be linked to the beam gen 2 to create a multi sound…. Say if I put this at the back of the room will it stream the sound coming out of my beam gen 2

    Yes it will.

Very tempted with the new Era 100's, but it will be interesting to see how it compares to 2x Ones paired up. Might be some One bargains to be had.

Let’s hope the Ones drop considerably

Great little speaker, have one in each room nearly. One thing I would say is make sure it is the right size for your room. If you have a large room I would say get the 5 to retain the punchy bass from sonos speakers as you would get if it were in a smaller environment.

As this seems to be a general Sonos thread, do we know if the Era 100 will have a SL version? And also, whether it will be able to route its line-in content to another room, like the Connect?

Going by their previous launch history, even if Sonos come up with a SL version for Era 100, it will easily be 7-8 months from now. But Sonos hasn't confirmed if there will be a SL version of the newly launched Era speakers.
