Featuring voice control via Alexa, the Sonos One is the smart speaker for music lovers.

Sonos and Alexa – two of the greatest names together
Already established as one of the leading voice recognition systems, Amazon’s Alexa has proved highly successful. Simply say the word “Alexa” and request what you’d like to listen to and from which service. This could be as general as, “Alexa, play indie from the 90s.” To something more specific, such as, “Alexa, Play Despacito from Spotify.” With the system incorporated into Sonos it’s now better than ever.

Control much more
Play songs, check news and traffic, manage smart devices and enjoy all those other helpful Amazon Alexa skills using a single Sonos speaker.

Control any way you want
Sonos One seamlessly syncs voice, app, and touch commands, enabling you to manage music with a single word, tap of the app, or swipe on the speaker touch panel. Combine voice control with the Sonos app to manage all your music in one place.

The TRUEPLAY revolution - giving you tailored sound
The latest generation Sonos One features revolutionary TRUEPLAY technology. TRUEPLAY scans your room, analyses the results and then fine tunes the speaker for the ideal listening experience. Whether your room is large or small and the unit is placed close to a wall or in the centre, the One adapts to give the most natural and realistic sound possible.

Built for continuous improvement
With its smooth good looks, the Sonos One is designed to look every bit as good in years to come as it does now. Yet Sonos have taken the idea of design longevity further by engineering in the ability to update the electronics through future software updates.

The Sonos system
The Sonos wireless sound system is simply one of the best-sounding, most reliable and flexible there is. With the latest Sonos components you don't even require a BRIDGE or BOOST, as they are capable of linking via your home Wi-Fi system. For the very best results, though, linking one component to an Ethernet connection will allow you to take advantage of the famous Sonos 'Mesh' system.

Strength through numbers
The more components you add, the stronger the dedicated wireless mesh becomes. Best of all, because it runs independently from your Wi-Fi, the reliability and strength of the signal is unaffected by Wi-Fi dropouts.

Built to last
With robust build quality, the One is not only built to last but also ideal for use in rooms with wide temperature changes - such as conservatories. The solid construction with no vinyl wrap or wood veneers to peel or distort will still look good in years to come. As usual, there's a One White and One Black, making finding one to suit your decor easy.

For the best in sound quality and ease of use, just ask Alexa and listen to how good the Sonos One sounds.

Not a deal, same price direct from sonos, sorry

This should be removed as it is an advert not a deal!

Beta testing is now available for those with existing Sonos as long as you have an echo device you can enable Alexa just sign up to the beta testing programme through the Sonos app. Should save the need to upgrade for some.

Isn't it the same price everywhere so not really a deal?

I remember when the sonos 1 used to be 150 quid. Bad days

I think i'm going to buy this music system. £199 is the standard full retail price though? So this is not a deal Any vouchers or cashback floating around...

I got 5 x play 1’s for £115 each at the beginning of this year

Where is the deal ?? Its the standard price

Beta testing of Sonos / Alexa integration finished yesterday. It's available to everyone now...

So is this just a software update?

Anyone know when this will support Spotify through voice command? Its not a feature yet but "coming soon" which is a deal breaker for me at the moment.

They're promising full Spotify integration before the holidays. Assuming this will be Christmas lol.
This new speaker has Alexa built in and at the moment will only fully work (music wise) with Amazon Music. However, you can control pause/skip/resume etc on Spotify. You can also do this with the older Play1 with a separate Amazon Echo/Dot connected wirelessly. I have the Play 5 with an Amazon Dot connected wirelessly and can confirm this works. Also allows me to control Amazon Music fully.
At the moment, I think you have to be part of the "Beta programme" for the Separate Alexa integration with a software update.

Does this work with Apple Music? Seriously tempted but need to confirm before buying. Also how good is the Alexa features, same as other echo products?
