What's the expiry date for these
Can't recommend these given they attitude towards not supporting older products and instead sending them to landfill. They even encourage people not to recycle them.
1000 degrees of heat and no one has bought one - HUKD is crazy

Has to be gen 1 right? I'm squinting at the screen trying to read the writing on the picture. It definitely says "Alexa..."

Either way that is a cracking price, even if this was the Play:1 at this price!! Heat from me OP! Sadly not available online.

Says voice controlled on the shelf label.
if Gen 2. why are these deals so far away for me.
would love to pick up 4 at this price the last 4 i bought where £100 (2nd hand unopened boxes)

only the Gen 2 has voice controlled that i know of (unless you buy a google device for the older speaker) also the price point (if not on sale) is the same price as the Gen2 on there website.

wonder if i can get my local Curry/PC world to price match.

Edit the website says Free 6 month Spotify Premium subscription for new Premium accounts only when purchasing this product so guess u would get this also if bouhgt from the shop

Bargain, voted hot!
Great speaker can't go wrong, Great price
If Gen 2 it is nearly worth jumping on a plane to Edinburgh . I was in John Lewis Cambridge and picked up two Sonos 1 SLs on the current buy 2 get £50 off deal, the SL has no Secret Service Listening device built in. This worked out at £134 each plus a bit less using a discount card. They had some Sonos Ones available marked down as “customer returns” at £149 which was a tempting price for the One with voice control. You can never have enough Sonos 1s in a house.

The Sonos One Gen 1 also has voice control.
Just the one
These will be extremely rare and once sold won't be restocked
Just spoke to customer services, In case anyone is wondering, they won’t price match an in-store deal either online or at another Currys store
Has anyone bought one for £89.97?
I've seen tons of these Clearance Prices in Currys ending with £0.97p and they never have any in stock.
I don't even think the OP bought one - so 500 degrees of heat for a treasure hunt LOL
Did anyone try John Lewis to price match
Or richer sounds

The Sonos One Gen 1 also has voice control.

By Sonos One Gen 1, do you mean Sonos Play 1? If so, it doesn't have voice control built in
Does anyone has the sku or product code for this item.

No I don’t mean the Play 1 otherwise I would have said the play 1. I mean the Sonos One Gen 1 as I said. I was responding to the person who said only the Gen 2 has voice control and I was saying they were wrong, as they are.

The Sonos One gen 1 and gen 2 both have Alexa, the Play:1 is a different speaker and doesn’t

There is no Play:One. You confuse things by saying that. It’s a Play:1.
I found the gen 2 awful in picking up my voice with google assistant. Mine is for sale on Ebay as it's that bad at listening to what i was saying. I bought a google max instead (OMG how big) and the mic pickup is far far better.

But hot, although i hope there is none instock so ppl still bid on my opened box one
billiamgray8219/02/2020 15:13

Mic check 🎤

Both gen one and two have mics... think you might be confusing this with the play version....

I had exactly the same issue. It was excellent at hearing you say 'Hey Google' and then ignored everything you said after that. Luckily I ordered from a great local store and they gave me a full refund. Decided to stick with my Play:1 instead which I still love
They have put the price back up for it

Be careful of support ending for Sonos 'Legacy' products. If these are Gen 1 they may be next on the list

See Sonos Forums for further details - lots of unhappy users who have bought into Sonos over the years

I have a couple of Gen 1s - they are classed as modern products not legacy so you probably be good for a good few years. Sonos have also created guidelines so you can split the network and have some running legacy and some modern - I think they are listening to the outrage

Don't think that has actually been confirmed yet. Wishful thinking possibly. Think we've got to wait for further announcements and see what happens come May. The silence has been deafening so far after the initial announcement re Legacy support.
Who has actually purchased one at £89.97? It would appear no one.
Looks like this is probably the price for a Gen 1. It's a standard Currys price ticket meaning the price would be universal in all stores and online. It's also unable to be edited so possibly a member of staff has printed a ticket for the older model by mistake.
Comparison here
Ah! I’m up here now on a short break but I’ve no way of getting over to the store!
What is it then? I'm looking at an ugly white grid with some words that don't tell anyone what they're looking at.

At £90 these are a steal. They haven’t said when they will cease support for the original Play:1 yet. They’ve been around 7 years so have at least another 3 years of support. Even after that they won’t just stop working.
Any way to find out if these are on clearance at other Currys stores?
