In the reduced to clear section of the Brent Cross store found Sonos Play 1 for £99. It had an open box which means it's been bought and returned but in perfect condition and still comes with the 2 year warranty. There were a couple in Brent Cross and will presumably be national if your store has any.

This is clearly a very limited (1 or 2 at most) and local. I appreciate the effort in posting but it really isn't a deal is it? Presumably you didn't buy one?

Well there was a similar reduced deal for Hive heating yesterday that people thought was a good deal so it got pretty hot. It's obviously not a deal that 100s of people are going to get but people who are visiting Brent Cross might be able to grab one and will encourage people who are near other John Lewis stores to take a look for one so for me it was worth posting.

I get what you're saying but it might help somebody who lives nearby. I'm not sure where Brent Cross even is!

a bit harsh. (_;) some people put national deals on this site when only a few are left in stock. I do see many OOS comments minutes after they are posted. I say thanks OPP and it seems like a honest post.

Heat and lucky!Would have bought both if it were me!Got 5 units but can't get enough!Brilliant product!

There was a dented tin of beans in my local Tesco, reduced to 10p. Perhaps I should post that, in case it helps someone?

Which Tesco???

However you look at it £99 for a Play:1 is a steal. Hot from me.

Sonos stuff is hardly ever discounted so this is a great deal for the people that find it. Why not post it? If it helps one person out then it's worth it isn't it?

It's not discounted, it's marked down because it's returned stock and technically second hand. Why not post it? Because the two available were probably snapped up before the OP had finished their post and there are no more available so why send people on a wild goose chase!
If JL had reduced the price of Sonos this would be a great deal, unfortunately they haven't so it's not.

Dented beans out of stock online but after a quick phone around I can confirm that tesco outer Mongolia has a single pint of yaks milk that goes out of date tomorrow reduced to half price...... Should I post it as a deal?

So you posted it because the hive heating deal got hot? I'm sure this will as well (well done) even though the 'deal' is for two returned (and technically second hand) units that have been marked down and have probably been sold by now.

Not really, chances are its already gone. I appreciate that the OP is trying to help / contribute, but if everyone posts one off deals then the site will be full of deals that are not obtainable for 99.9% of us.

Price in title is misleading, is it £99 or £90

It's gone already:( hit the expire button

This is a national site for deals, so anyone posting local deals will be well received by those in the same area due to the reach of this site. Of course the deal is valid, I don't get why people complain, if it's not in your area then scroll on somewhere else.

I totally agree, I do appreciate the OP posting this as a heads up but these limited offers should have a section of their own, ordered by region so that anyone interested can check for local 'one off' deals in their area. This has been suggested to HUKD before but they are not interested.

Bear in mind this was only posted an hour ago, JL isn't even open today so who knows when the OP spotted these.... highly unlikely they'll still be there now!

Don't see a problem with this, just pop into your local John Lewis and have a look, great deal if there is one there.

Been on here since 2004, bloody android phone

My local JL usually have at least half a dozen laptops discounted because they are deemed second hand once returned by customers under distance selling regs.
Is anyone seriously suggesting that all of these could be posted as deals?
And then what about all the other JL stores which will have similar stock?
C'mon guys time for a little common sense isn't it?
Surely "deals" should be available to at least a few punters rather than just one-offs.

Not according to your profile. Does that mean you've been lurking for 12 years? In the 3 months you've been a member you've posted no deals and made two comments, why did you bother?

As the phone has probably logged me on under Facebook or whatever. It's not rocket science, though with the lack of your brain cells its understandable. Now go and make another pointless comment on another thread.
