Thanks for posting. I’ve added the price and merchant to the title. I've also added an image and changed the category to Audiovisual.
Here’s a ‘Help’ link which gives tips and advice on thread posting.

got my second play one last week they sound much better as a stereo pair! really like them, probably not worth the money as sonos still don't have enough sources for me, missing bbc iPlayer, Apple music and amazon prime but they are excellent sounding speakers

Now thats a deal.
Google chromecast audio, only £30, will kill the sonos soon

I assume you'd still need speakers with chromecast audio at that price?

Thank you for mentioning this device as i was not aware of it but it has sure given me reason to postpone purchasing a sonos and instead consider just buying a good set of speakers around the house

I'll look forward to your post then. But this is for Sonos and I can't find a better deal for Sonos.

You miss the point, and by the sounds of it have never used the system.
Same price at Crampton and Moore...

Sonos emailed earlier this month to say that the BBC services would be coming in December.
Soon as Apple Music is added I will be interested. They said by the end of the year so anytime now....
Anyone know if the 2 year warranty will be valid from these as its only on authorised sellers

I think it's when you plug them in the 2 years start with Sonos

Isn't prime already on there?

They've got this on the Sonos T&C. Suggests if you get it from a non authorised then you'll get the bog standard 1 year.

"Products purchased directly from Sonos or from an authorized Sonos dealer may be returned under two different circumstances:

Within 2 years of the date of original shipment for a defect *; or
Within 100 days of the date of original shipment for any reason**
* The Sonos product warranty does not apply to Sonos Products that are purchased from an unauthorized seller, unless the warranty is explicitly transferred from the original purchaser."
scratch that. Just found them on the list of recommended dealers so 2 year warranty will be valid
BBC iPlayer etc, isn't it just an overprices smart TV box in a decent sounding speaker? for the money isn't it better to get a decent 5.1 system hooked up to your already smart TV or now TV box (or similar)?

No, it's totally different. The whole interface and how it works.

i don't think so its just amazon music you've bought... unless I'm doing it wrong !
depends... my 5.1 sound system in my front room I bought for 200 sounds nowhere near as good as these two small speakers.... but to get these hooked up for tv audio I think you need another device too.

You'll also need an amplifier for those speakers as well and some way of putting those speakers onto your wifi network. I don't think a £30 Chromecast will do that.

Sonos speakers include their own amplifier and wifi connectjon. You can control them from your smartphone, laptop etc. Apple Music is due to be added by the end of the year, as is BBC radio catchup (or some version of it)
Just use Tune-In radio. All the Bbc stations are on there.

Lol, seriously?!
The chromecast app is having an update before the end of 2015 to allow it to play music through speakers in various rooms..to me it is no brainer

There's nothing wrong with Chromecast but it can only do that if each of those speakers (or pairs) have an amplifier and wifi connection (as I said before). .

You're right. Prime music isn't supported.
Webby, great deal. Ignore those who don't have any experience of how awesome Sonos is!

It's messy though isn't it? The whole point of Sonos is its simplicity. Wiring up a whole load of chromecast units to power/amp/speakers isn't exactly elegant.

Oh I didn't know the Google chromecast audio was also a speaker, thanks for the heads up, I'll cancel my sonos order, quick everyone fill your boots!
Best price I've seen for these. Cheeky RRP price of £339 though... it's £299 everywhere in truth. Rare to see discounts on Sonos stuff though so heat from me!

Yup, I have a Play 5 (already want the new one!) and two Play 1's but have been toying with this twin pack to turn the two Play 1's I have into stereo pairs. Personally I actually prefer two Play 1's as a stereo pair over my single Play 5.
You do not have to wait for chromecast audio or anything else. Just get a few of the 'Pure Jongo A2' which is brilliant, works flawlessly and cheaper than the whole lot.

I've heard people say that before, that two 1's sound better than the 5.

Considered this before but the lack of a 3.5mm jack bothers me for occasional use of a cd or record player.
Thanks op, ordered a white pair of 1's.

Missed this but there's 2.5% quidco cashback too

Again not comparing like with like.. I think the Pure Jongo will set up a control system but you still need to have/buy separate speakers and amplifiers (with a Pure Jongo for each set) for each room. Each Sonos speaker combines all these functions.

There is a unit available if you want to stream through an existing hifi system (which I agree isn't cheap, especially if you then add a separate DAC as I have!).

It's certainly cheap, but the reviews of the hardware and the app seem mixed.
