Been watching this like a hawk with the recent drop of the Euro, strangely the price has actually gone down instead of up.
Cheapest it's been in donkeys years after taking value of pound into account.

£247 with a fee free card delivered as of this posting, no taxes etc as it's an EU country before the usual suspects pipe up (Euro 1.34.5 - £1.00)
With Amazon's currency calculator you can expect to pay £255 delivered.

If you really can't decide as these are a bit of a luxury to some then you can lock the price in for 5 days as with any Amazon site by changing the expiry date of your payment card to an incorrect date then ordering. You will have 5 days to update payment details but pay the price at the time of original order.

EDIT - Updated to today's currency rates 23/01/15
EDIT2 - Updated price, reduced even more
WHITE NOW CHEAPER THAN BLACK.

EDIT3

If you can hold off one more day anyone considering buying this likely be able to get this for around £240-£243...

The greek election result is going to hit the euro HARD tomorrow

Buy it now using incorrect expiry date, and your price will be locked in (ONLY for paying in euros)
This will mean that if price goes up by tomorrow, you'll pay current price, if price goes down, just cancel and order again.

EDIT4
BACK DOWN IN PRICE AGAIN!!!!
325/329 Euro White/Black
28/01/15

EDIT5
Black back up to €399 - White still €325.71 -thanks professor936

lol

great prices and these units don't have the issues of a standard figure 8 uk plug fitting

Heat, well spotted thanks; and thanks also to feival for highlighting their Camel price monitoring - (I wonder if Sonos is generally less expensive in Spain?).

cheered up my morning that

Nice price, heat added. I would be tempted if I hadn't purchased a Denon Heos recently. Sonos don't support Spotify Connect, also, I'm doubtful that they will support Google Cast for Audio in the future..

These are pointless if you don't have wifi right

Not sure if that's a statement or a question. If it's a question, yes.

Looks like you can get Play 1 for about £146 as well. Tempting as £169 from Amazon UK. Good spot, heat added!

But Sonos supports more services overall, Denon Heos do sound better though

I don't have any Sonos speakers but it looks like Google play music is supported:

NOT right. You can plug any Sonos unit into your router using a CAT5 LAN cable. If you have multiple Sonos speakers, they connect to each other using their own proprietary mesh network - which is wireless. If you don't want a Sonos speaker next to your router, then you can but a "bridge" that plugs into the router and is the first node on the mesh network to which all the other speakers connect. If you DO have wifi, the latest Sonos software does allow you to set up the network without any physical connection - this bridge-free operation only became possible late last year.
I have 3 x Play:1, a Sonos Connect pl;ugged into the back of my AV Receiver and a bridge. Music from my NAS server or Deezer. Or Amazon cloud, Google, soundcloud... Many other sources.

Amazon currency converter not working for me.

do you need to get a UK AC lead ?

If you have a zero load/fee card like old Nationwide Gold (existing custs only) or Post Office credit card, you can get even a better price. Remember to pay in Euros (change your payment card currency to Euros even it is in GBP to avoid Amazon currency conversion fees).

Any deals on the sonos playbar?

That would be one VERY unhappy goldfish if this was on full blast - great advert!

Is there a delivery charge to the UK?

It IS one very unhappy goldfish in that pathetic bowl.

Ordered a Play 1 - according to current rates it's working out around £143 delivered - and using my Post Office CC, no conversion fees to pay either. Best price from a trustworthy vendor in the UK is £169 before delivery, so this is great. HEAT.

For info - the power cable appears to be a figure of 8 one, so if you've got any old Sky Box power cables lying around, this will plug straight in - or buy an adapter off Ebay from Euro - UK for a £1 or so.

My standard delivery charge was about 7 euros

The play 1 has been around this price for over a month.

Not really, as they do have a jack in them to play music from an external source (iPhone etc) - but you're not getting the maximum capability from the unit.

To get the best from this, you're best off with internet & a music subscription (Spoitfy, Deezer etc).

On Amazon ES or elsewhere? Cheapest I can find in the UK ATM is around £155 from Valuebasket.com and haven't heard great things about them. I've never tried a Euro Amazon site before, so this price was new to me.

EDIT: Just did a search on HUKD and you are right, the price for a Play 1 has been posted before for Amazon ES. That said, for those of us who haven't seen it before, it's still a good price - old or new

I think SONOS provide a 3 year warranty as standard? Obviously it's purchased with Amazon as well, so you should be fine with any issues.

Amazon currency converter not working for me.

Oh dear, it worked for me; but gave a rate of 1.2514, so I opted for the Bank credit card (Interbank) rate with 2.9% conversion premium added, which (hopefully) comes out at £2.50p less expensive.

My point is it doesn't have aux or bluetooth. So you need a wifi connectik. Just say wifi goes down?

gaza66

Is there a delivery charge to the UK?

Yes, € 7.23, which I thought not too bad.

Sonos UK will cover the warranty. They will even pick up the item from your house but should you wish a refund then you can also return to Amazon.es & they will refund all & return postage upto a set amount if faulty.

I wonder when people dont search on HUKD in the first place means they are buying the item on a whim , nothing wrong with that,I do it but if people wanted the item in the first place then a simple search will save a lot of money. ;-)

Great price, don't have the money for it, but looking to get the 3 once i do. Cheers OP, good spot ! Heat.

So if I wanted to buy from the Spanish Amazon would I have to signup to that site or could I login using my Amazon uk account?

Never purchased outside the UK so unsure how it works with it being the same company.

Is your wifi connection really that poor? I'd get a new router before buying this (or anything else).

But anyway, as someone else has already pointed out, it's got ethernet and line-in ports. In fact, it's actually got 2 ethernet ports and can act as a switch (because switches are so expensive and hard to come by).
