Could agree more!! Stopped using Amazon they are a disgrace. Mistreat workers, pay minimum wage, and pay virtually no tax
Wouldn’t recommend these, we bought 3 when they first came out. They have limited Alexa capability and cannot perform even what a dot can. For example dropping in on different rooms.

I know a few people who work in our local warehouse, they actually enjoy working for them.

Yeah I got one free with my contact phone. Alexa is crap and it's all subscription services on it. Mines been gathering dust on the kitchen side for a year.

If you prefer Google to alexa you can change it. Obviously it won't change that you need Spotify premium or whatever music streaming service you use.
I bought this speaker a few days ago and I like the sounds that come from it. One thing I discovered is that I can't play my own Google Music playlists through it, like I can through my Google Home speaker. I think this is because I do not pay a subscription for Google Music. I have Amazon Prime so I have set up the Sonos to play Amazon Prime Music instead.

Guess every workplace is different....still doesn’t defend the tax issue.

We have Alexa throughout our house already so changing to google doesn’t really work for me. We just ended up turning it off on the Sonos and having a dot next to it. The recognition of the call word is so much better on the dots.

Guess they are employing people who are paying tax? Rather than claiming job seekers allowance ... maybe ?

Governments around the world are the ones that need to fix the tax issue...Amazon , Starbucks and all the other vilified companies pay what they legally have to (albeit they employ some elaborate measures to minimise it)

Exactly. Couldn’t agree more. I guess they pay what they have to dictated by the country government.

True. Down to the governments too
Everyone will pay the legal minimum tax required. You would be demented to pay more!

I have no issues with big tech companies as the tax system is not their responsibility.

Everyone knows how they are doing it yet governments don't do anything about it and they never will.

The government bailed out banks after the crisis and then they all paid themselves big bonuses as usual using tax payer money.

Help to buy is funded by the tax payer and it's all driving the profits of housing developers.

So in the UK, what do you actually gain from paying your taxes? It all goes back to the wealthy anyway.
