Black Friday deal this time of year there always seems to be a deal on Sonos items and this is the best price I have seen this at for a little while, retailer does free next day delivery nationally also.

Same for the Playbase too, nice! Hopefully there will be a few more offers like this as I’m holding off until Friday

£150 for Play:1 - That's the one to watch for on Black Friday eve

Yeah I think this retailer already has the Play 1 at £149

You really need the sub with this I cannot recommend it by itself for music

Totally agree. Was really disappointed with the Playbar on its own but adding the sub completely transforms the sound... at a cost obviously.

I can, especially if you don't listen to bass heavy music

Very are dropping the price of the Playbar and Play 3 on Friday, dont know what the price drop will be though.

Have you tried it with the sub though? You'll be blown away! I think you need the back speakers too personally sounds amazing all together

Definately need a Sub with the Playbar.

No Sub needed for the Playbase though, sounds great on its own.

True, rest of the retailers join soon but we may see it go further down on Black Friday eve

I don't think that's an argument for needing it. If you haven't tried it with the sub, and still think it sounds good, then that's good enough, surely?

I've not driven a Ferrari but if I did I think I would no longer be happy with my Volvo... but for now my Volvo is good enough

Personally, I have the Playbar. I listened to it with and without the sub in the shop, and it definitely sounds better with but not drastically enough to justify double the price. Not for me anyway. At some point I will probably add the sub and a couple of Play 1s to make it a 5.1 but would rather kit out every other room first.

It does add depth but the difference less significant on the kind of music I listen to
