Sonos Playbar Wireless Home Cinema Soundbar - £619 @ Amazon

No one will argue that Sonos equipment is not expensive, so finding them slightly discounted makes the purchase feel just that little bit easier!

Earlier today Amazon discounted the Playbar to £619 (I almost pulled the trigger at noon when it was still £649 - so glad I waited)

Unfortunately it is not the level of the 15% discount of a few months back, or even pre-brexit pricing, but it is definitely the best I have found online; and referring to camelcamelcamel, it is the lowest Amazon price since around March

Brexit is an excuse.
The pound was worth less than it is now 5-6 years ago and Sonos didn't reduce the RRP when it increased in value from 4 years ago until 2 years ago.

...just an fyi.

Sorry no matter how good it sounds at that price just for a soundbar is ridiculous.

It’s worth it, paired with a sub and play 3’s

OMG I nearly spat my coffee out. Had no idea the play bar was now so expensive. Got mine 2 years ago thanks to a post on here:

Sorry the Delorean is having a service at the moment

Problem is without a sub the sound really isn't that great from it... and even then add two play 1s as well to get it his it's meant to be. There's often deals with the playbar and sub that are probably better value

I have to disagree. I had the Playbar for around 2 years before I upgraded to a SUB and 2 x Play: 1's and it sounded perfectly fine. However with a sub and surrounds it does sound simply amazing

I do think you need a SUB though, otherwise it doesn't have the punch

Do you mean for general tv ? Playing music is a night and day difference with the other speakers. Play something like James Blake and the bass is just incredible. Or Michael Jackson with the surround speakers on, just incredible sound! From the playbar only the bass just struggles to me

People are voting this cold purely because it's a high cost item, rather than whether it's a deal or not.

Not everybody wants to manage with £4.99 home audio speakers from B&M so this is hot from me, good discount!

Hot for me too. Been £649 forever.

Anyone think this will ever drop to sub-£500 (again)?

I disagree.
Sub is essential no two ways about it but it is amazing with it.

Do you have the rears set to provide surround or full audio when playing music?
When I was messing around the other day I couldn't make my mind up which sounded better, but I settled on Full

Yeah I think full is a lot better. But because my rear speakers are so close to my setee I have them turned down a little bit even after the true play tuning. The sub just rings out through all the speakers really well
