Go into the sellers, select Amazon's 'Add to Basket' and when you view the basket, it'll give you the option for the payments. 1-2 month lead time though..
Overpriced. Way over priced. The subwoofer is another £625 on top. For less than £1200 you can get a very decent AVR and 5.1 speaker/sub package.

That's not the point....conparing it to other systems does not make it a bad deal.

If someone has decided that they definitely want a Sonos Playbar, then they can decide whether it's a good deal or not!
It's the same price at Smart Home Sounds, but with a 6 year warranty and up to 12-months interest free.

It's cold because it's not a good price compared to what it sells for elsewhere and past prices.

The fact you can buy a dedicated AV setup for less is completely irrelevant. They are different types of product. Many people like me have replaced expensive dedicated AV setups with a Playbar and surrounds and been much happier with it.

And by the way, you don't need the sub - it has plenty of bass without it, and if you're mainly watching TV, sport, comedies etc then it's really not necessary.
Wel I thought it was a good deal as you can buy and spread the payments. I appreciate what people are saying however you would need to go through a credit check etc.

As to buying and AVR system, that's what I have done however not everyone has the space etc so not quite sure how it's relevant.

You don't need a sub? What sort of expensive dedicated AV setup did you have?

Very true. It's a different solution to a full surround system no doubt. And interest free credit is great.

I'm just pointing out that whilst I'm sure the bass will be vastly superior to TV speakers, it will be nowhere near what a sub can produce. Even a 2.1 system would give much more bang for buck. Just my opinion. No offence intended.

Did you read this part? "if you're mainly watching TV, sport, comedies etc then it's really not necessary"

And I had an Onkyo Atmos amp with Dali speakers (Zensor 1 surrounds, Zensor 5 fronts, Vokal centre, 12" sub). Not really expensive by AV standards but expensive compared to a Sonos setup.

Good choice. I've been weighing up Zensors myself. You must miss them. And the sub.

I do miss it for action films! Zensors are great speakers, I have a pair of 1s on my PC as monitor speakers as well. They are really good for music, but I could never get a decent sound out of my 5.1 setup for music. Must have been the receiver. The Playbar by itself without surrounds sounds better for music IMO (again provided you're not listing to dubstep or anything below 50hz).

I've seen that speaker package go as low as £800 btw, or £600 for Zensor 1s all round and 9" sub. So worth keeping an eye out!

I will. I'm at the beginning of the research process but the Dali speakers get rave reviews as I'm sure you already know. As do the Q Acoustics. After my comments above you'll probably laugh that at the moment I have a 2.1 set up. I was aiming to just add to my B&W speakers but the cost of a matching B&W centre plus surrounds puts me off.

Thanks for the advice. I'll bare it in mind.

Gotta say though. Even my 2.1 setup shakes the house when cranked up.
Wow this is not a deal, come onnnn
I found adding a pair of play ones for surround gave me plenty of bass, to the point that I no longer felt I needed the expensive sub

Yeah Q Acoustics do some great speakers too, and some much smaller surrounds than Dali do. Definitely better value than B&W.

Nothing wrong with 2.1, in fact it's usually better for music! One of the reasons I never liked the 5.1 setup.

The only thing I'd say is that for films with an LFE channel a sub is a must. No sub, no LFE so for modern films you'll be missing out.

Even with 5.1 you can play music in stereo. Most AV receivers have a Stereo mode. Direct or Pure mode too.

Sonos great system! Interest free payments too - added heat. Ignore the people who say way over priced blah blah because they simply can’t afford it. Yes a Ferrari is overpriced because you can source a Nissan GT-R for fraction of the price but not the same league as a Ferrari!
