Push your Sonos music system to the limit with the addition of the SUB wireless subwoofer. This compact unit will add a completely new layer of richness to your listening with deep, rumbling bass that you'll feel, as well as hear. Engineered for easy setup and vibration free sound, you’ll be enjoying premium, fuss-free sound straight out of the box.

Anti-distortion speakers
Dual force-cancelling speakers - positioned face to face - direct the sound and force of the music for clearer listening, with no cabinet buzz or rattle.

Easy pairing
No wiring. No programming. Press one button, follow the simple prompts and the system automatically adjusts audio settings to perfectly balance your SUB and the paired Sonos system for a flawlessly optimised, whole-room listening experience.

Flexible positioning
Because it’s wireless and designed to perform perfectly, whether positioned horizontally or vertically, you can put the SUB anywhere you want in the room - even lying flat under a couch. Using the TRUEPLAY feature in the Sonos App, you can custom tune this speaker for finely-balanced sound enrichments based on speaker positioning, even when it’s incorporated in a full Sonos home cinema setup.

Dual amps
Two Class-D digital amplifiers have been professionally tuned to complement the speakers and acoustic architecture. Dual acoustic ports create better output flow purer sound.

Extreme detail
Frequency response down to 25Hz delivers smoother bass to unlock every detail of your audio.

Lossless listening
Digital Signal Processing (DSP) controls filter settings, active equalisation and timing for truly zero-loss listening.

SUB works with all Sonos amplified components, including: CONNECT: AMP/ZP120/ZP100, PLAY:5/ZonePlayer S:5, PLAY:3, PLAY:1, PLAYBAR, SONOS ONE, BEAM, PLAYBASE. Does not work with the non-amplified Sonos CONNECT/ZP90/ZP80.

It is expensive but if you compare the price to other retailers online it ranges from £650-£700 + so is quite a good deal. However, there are cheaper alternatives out there.

Yeh suppose if you have the rest of the kit and you want to complete the setup
Great price for a fine piece of kit. Is it worth the price? Hell yeah. I have this and it's a damned sight better than the Q-Acoustics and other subs I owned before. Plus it's completely wireless. Upsets the neighbours too - bonus!!
I'll come back to this offer when I can find the money to afford a Sonos beam first

Do you have any other Sonos equipment? I added this to my Beam and it made a massive difference to the sound, especially with movies. There are obviously alternatives, some cheaper some more expensive. I bought it, and cant really fault it.....but can't compare to say a £200 sub, as this is my 1st and only sub. What drew me to this was its wireless and placed anywhere in the room. Its also, in my opinion, quite a good bit of design.....even though mine is behind the sofa !
I have one and love it, makes a great addition to your kit.
Pricewise, whilst it may be cheaper than other retailers, it’s probably worth waiting til they come on offer. I got mine before Xmas and paid £465 for it.

As opulent as the Beam! I'm filling my piggybank for a Sonos One!
I love Sonos, have loads around the house but save yourselves the hassle. These are awful

No I don't have anything at the minute. But I recently bought a LG C9 and the sound is pretty good already. Not sure what sound to buy as my Tv is in the corner and the room is more like a rectangle shape.
Not worth this money
heroicsatsuma03/04/2020 15:27

Probably not

It so is it, 18kg of bassy goodness offloads bass duties from other speakers highly recommended wireless too (except power)

No way will that usefully go to 25Hz. Reading online it's more like 45 with 40Hz -3dB which is a bit pants.

I'd rather buy a sub from from manufacturers who specialise in subs especially going into several hundreds of £££

.... REL, Monitor, MJ Acoustics etc etc

I'd agree. Take quoted freq ranges with a huge bucketful of salt. Demo your sub with test tones & a SPL meter and be prepared for your eyes to be opened (or should that be ears lol)

Also, although it is subjective, the concensus is that if you have floorboards, you would benefit more from a down-firing sub.

For the record, I'm using MJ Acoustics Ref 1 Mk III

Good price for this sub, not a great sub for this price IMHO. Agree with above, get one from someone known for their subs if paying this kind of money

I love my downward firing Yami YST-SW320 for that reason. My bigger YST-SW800 stopped working, they have a serious design flaw and I'm unaware of them being able to be fixed.

Where's a graph like this for this Sonos?
