£329 at Comet and 299 at Richer Sounds, Curys will price match for a better deal.

Only 1 available in the north east at Argos.

Think the majority of Richer Sounds have now sold out.

Comet sold out.

Currys also sold out.

Comet out of stock:thumbsup:

Just reserved mine ---- cool price and stock at selected midlands argos stores --- wooo hoooo

good move .... you will seriously be blown away with the picture quality. i got this for my mum for her xmas prezzy... realy is a stunning picture and the tv looks very attractive too.

This Sony is better than the Panasonic 32LX8 also sold by Argos for the same price. Hot.

Just checked and available in Leeds.

sorry to be a spoilsport

But a family member that works in Richer Sounds was telling me not too long ago that for every 1 return they have for a Panasonic they have 10 returns on a Sony!

said something about the colour fading/washing and picture turns dark (cant remember exactly the reason been some months)

yes but they probably sold 10 times more sonys than the pannys . no proof of this on the AV FORUMS .so i would take this comment with a pinch of salt

Does this take into account sales as I would imagine that Sony sales far out number those of the Panasonic?

also the panasonic was only £549.99 where as this was £699

sony are not as good as they used to be as most of the parts used now are not made by sony but other companies like the screen is the same as a LG screen, was told this in richer sounds...

that ratio of 10:1 is incorrect!

just checked! iv been told for every 5 sony tv's they sell 2 panasonics!

(apparently they are encouraged to sell more sony tv's as the margins are better / better discounting / better enticing offers etc)

but i didnt tell you that!

(anyway my comments were well intentioned comment!, maybe sony tv's are better now! i suppose each to their own! thos who make the purchase all the best!)

btw iv voted this deal hot, despite the comments i think you would be hard pressed to get this offer anywhere else and in stock. But for brand preference my pick is on a panasonic

Argos' RRP is a complete nonsense. No other store has had this TV for £700 only Argos, I think Sony Style had the price at £549 as it's RRP. I hope no-one ever bought it at that price.

Very nice telly though.

It was £700+ when it came out in sept.
currently around £299-£399

I got it for £299 at jl but now they put the price up and r out of stock.
best cheapest place in currys or wait till m&s and jl get stock which may be few days.

based on the fact that it may possibly go wrong and you wont be anything extra

id get it from John Lewis or M&S both offer 5 year gaurantees on there tv's
(M&S offer 5yr and 2yr - im assuming ul get 5yr with this, but do check!)

Currys will offer you a 5 year warranty for an EXTRA £350!

Can find no reference to this - seems nonsense to me. It's a great TV and well worth the money. This deal is not so hot, though, without a decent warranty. Wait for M&S / John Lewis to get more stock. It's still a current model (I believe) and selling huge numbers each week. Sony cannot make enough of them.

Argos is cheating all of their customers, this tv is not retainling for the quoted full price, and what they r advertising as half price is dodgy, Richer sounds is selling this one for 299 and even with their 5y warranty its still cheaper than Argos's price.

Good deal for people who live near an Argos and dont want to hunt around elsewhere.

everyone knows about the richer sound and JL deals and compare the prices all the time. richer sounds and JL still is a good deal that if u find stock? but these stores are now out of stock. For ppl who missed out and has an argos store near to them, this is a good deal. it comes with 3 years free warranty and if u have a argos card you can have 6 months interest free to pay for it

If anyone is desperate,

£7.54 more expensive than Argos but you get a 3 year warranty as opposed to the standard 12 months when buying from Argos.

Many retailers have increased their prices prior to the sales in order to con their customers into thinking they're getting big bargains, half price etc.

That is true but argos cannot do that, all the prices are in the catalogue which came out months ago and doesn't change from the day of launch.

I bet though that Argos have sold more of those tv's in the last week than they did in the previous 6 months or so when the catalogue came out, so I wouldn't totally discount them from devious sales tactics.

Purewell also had these at £299.99 but have just sold out.

They tell me they'll be back up to £549.99 when the new stock comes in..

Argos were out of stock for home delivery and I checked every store within a 50 mile radius, none available anywhere. I eventually got one from Amazon for £349 and it's a cracking telly! Very happy with it.

Argos are still doing the FREE 3 Year Warranty Special Offer until Friday (check the special offers link on the page), so I suppose if you buy it now you still get the warranty. Great deal, but, personally I'd go for Panasonic.
