Although this is a Sony set, the U series is the base range and the U3000 did NOT have a Sony panel...

Not sure if the 4000 range does have a Sony panel, but again it's the lowest model of their range.

Correct me if I'm wrong but is this inferior to the KDL32V4000?

If so then this is a cold deal IMO, because the V4000 can be picked up for £350 online or £299 at RS if you can get there on boxing day.

This IS inferior to the V series.

U is the basic

I would pay the extra and get this ]play deal

I have an S Series set and it is much better than the U

I also believe the Play.com is a better deal. RS deal is a maybe and occurs collection cost. With the 3-years warranty RS is the same price anyway.
