I know where you are coming from but some would place more value on a solid 5 year warranty (which admittedly will almost certainly be called on with a Vestel) rather than trying to argue Sale of Goods Act with Argos after a year on a better brand if it happens to be one of the few lemons.

Excellent price, yes there are cheaper (and poorer quality) products out there but it's great that you can get a 32" Sony for under £300. When I think back to my Sony 32" bought 9 years ago at £899!

Cheers OP. Had another 10% off through their customer services (from a previous issue) so comes in at just under £250 (with the £10 voucher) . Not my first choice TV but not bad for the money.

Any chance this will drop in price for black Friday? Not necessarily from Argos.
Debating whether to get this or the two hundred quid Toshiba from John Lewis

Got this TV from Coop electrical a while back for £280. It's fantastic. Hot

Struggle to see why a viewer could not use a larger than 32" tv.
On a telly this small even SD progs will look ok.
Full HD - do they still make 720 sets ?
Every smart tv I've had has been clunky dumb.
I got a 42" cello tv from an hukd 6?? years ago ,way cheaper than this - and stil working , ditto a cello 55" tv.
The Furrion 55" who?? and my 2 yr 65" tesco tv - all hukd - still working.
Who should I complain to , vestel or umc ?

Addressing just your first point.
Not everyone has available space for a large TV.
Me personally, I need one for a small bedroom.

I'm looking to get my son a 32" for his tv to hook up his consoles, would this be a good tv for that? Are smart tvs reliable and are worth having?

This TV is really not that smart. Your son's games consoles can do everything and more this TV could do. Put this aside, its a good set. One of the best pictures for a 32'' set.
