OK there's a few offers going on at Amazon currently which add up to look quite good.

Purchase a HX7 or HX8 set at the moment and you are entitled to claim a free Sony BDPS490 Smart 3D Blu-ray Player OR £90 off Home Cinema Products.

As well as this, there is an offer on the active 3D glasses. You can add 1 pair (so 2 active 3D glasses) for 50% off the price (so 2 for the price of 1). For some reason though, if you add one set it throws them in for free.

So you can add a Sony BDPS490 Smart 3D Blu-ray Player, a Sony KDL40HX753BU 40-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 3D SMART LED TV , and 1 set (each set containing two pairs) of Active 3D glasses and it checks out for £640 in total.

£640 for a 2012 Sony 3D TV, 2 pairs of active 3D glasses (worth £60), a Bluray player,

You MUST go to the final checkout screen, the one where all you have to do is click confirm. It is only here that the price is displayed properly.

The free blu-ray player is up until 23rd December, not sure about the offer with the glasses.

Edited deal to reflect no more £50 Amazon voucher. Still a good deal with the bluray player and glasses though IMO, especially if Amazon are shipping out 8 of them for no extra cost.

Edited deal again thanks to mspychala who's noticed that the Lovefilm/Amazon voucher stuff has been extended to February. So, just purchase the TV as normal, Amazon will send you an email with a promotional code, sign up to Lovefilm, become a PAYING member for TWO months (i.e. £5 a month for 2 months) and receive a £50 Amazon voucher

Credit to Begize on the MSE forums where I first found the TV and the glasses - the bluray player offer was added later by Amazon (Valid between 22nd October and December 23rd)

Only gripe with the TV is lack of playback of MKVs etc.

PLUS Free 3D Discs from Sony Dependent on the date of shipping ....

seems a good deal
Excellent.
Good price
Just had a play on the Amazon website & it lets you add 4 pairs of glasses & the price still remains £640. Would have gone for this deal but i just got Panny 42" few months ago
Not this price for me, even when I go all the way to the checkout.
You definitely going to the last screen? And I was originally going to post the deal with more sets of glasses which was the original deal on MSE but for some reason sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

That's the screen I'm talking about, just did that now.

Looks like a great deal, do I or dont I..... I hate this site
Added another set of glasses and it kept it at the same price so ordered.
craigk8163, I ordered 4 pairs and got the same price.
Whether I get the deal or not is another matter!
Kieranfm, yeah I added 2 lots into my basket so ie 4 pairs and the price stayed the same. I have had my order confirmation email. Amazon have been good in the past at honouring deals so fingers crossed. Have had my email about the £50 voucher so all in all it could be £590 thanks op and MSE
craig sent you PM
I found this glitch a few days ago and ordered the 46" HX7 with blu ray player and one pair of glasses for £864 when the TV itself is £899.99.
Didn't realize you can add 4 pair of glasses for the same price. Have placed another order but unable to cancel the old order as its too late and its ready for dispatch.
Oh well I assume if the other order goes through, I can refuse the first order and just accept the second order with 4 pair of glasses. If they cancel the second order then I will just accept the first one.
Amazing! How do i get the £90 off home cinema instead of the blu ray player?

Wow really tempted by this......... I went to comet the other day and looked at passive and active 3D and could only really see the passive 3D. I'm going to go back later today though and get them to show me the same material on both of them so I can make a far comparison.

Anyone got this TV?
I'd compare the actual TV in store if possible. The comparison of active 3D vs passive 3D brings up a few debates, I was looking at TVs that were strong performers in their own right though rather than whether or not they were passive or active. This was more of an impulse buy but the TV I was originally looking at was the Panasonic P42ST30 which 1 was also active (and a plasma which I prefer). This seemed to be a good deal though factoring in how much 3D glasses cost and all the extras, the AVForums review called it Recommended Here.

Bottom line is I'd check the AVForums reviews, draw up a shortlist within your budget and then go see them rather than worry about the technology.

Thanks for posting.
Bought one and added 4 times the glasses, so 8 pair of glasses+ Blu-ray player + £50 for lovefilm all for £640

Might be something wrong with the offer but hope not.
Just ordered one, with the 4 pairs of glasses and blu-ray for £640. All seems to work
Ordered too. with 4 pairs of glasses (2 sets) and blu-ray £648.99 with the express delivery option.

this site is such a temptress, currently reworking my planned budget for decorating the Living room....
Just had a look at it in currys. £709 just for the Tv there. Wanted to see the difference between active and passive. The picture on the Sony was fantastic.

Delivered already or posted?
My tv has been dispatched. I only ordered 2 sets as didn't know you could order more at the time of ordering. It shows my tv as £450 so they must have broken it down into individual prices
Delivered already. TV is supposed to be arriving tomorrow.
Can you also claim the Bond 50 blu-ray set from Sony if you go for the HX8 series?
