Even has TRILUMINOS!!! £629 @ Amazon, more elsewhere.
Nearly forgot; comes with Promotional 5 Year Warranty.

Note also that AO.COM have a Sony 49XD8305 on offer for £594, but with GET40 and I think 5% TBC is also worth a mention at around £525 ish.. NO 5 year warranty, but the 8305 does have a faster Motion-Rate for what that's worth"

What would gaming be like on this?

I have the 43inch which is a VA panel while this is an IPS panel there shouldn't be much different between gaming wise.

I haven't notice one bit of lag or motion blur. It's rated highly on FPS hitting about 20 when the tele is put in game mode.

It is a top tv but have heard the there is a slight colour bleed on the edging due to it being an IPS panel.

Should only really notice when screen is black though.

Good Q James; personally I don't know, but if my grandchildren pop in and plug in their PlayStation I'll let you know!
Should they do so It will last 5 mins before they choose a window on leaving!
LOL

After the 43inch myself, need a good deal though.

thanks for posting this OP!
Made my purchase with the £50 code and £23 cashback has now tracked as well! Got charged £4.99 for delivery on Saturday.

This will be a nice upgrade to my 42" LG HD Ready (720p/1080i) TV!

Glad you saw sense to buy one, mine arrives tomorrow, did you read my after purchase comment Re AO.COM? Worth a look but the 5 year guarantee with COOP was what I really wanted, but saying that my Old Sony has lasted 10 years without a fault!

They're the same. Check the "model alias" section in the link.

Mine arrived today. The TV is excellent and super thin compared to my previous one!
Haven't got anything in 4k to try and my 40mbps fibre connection isn't enough for Amazon Prime Ultra HD/4k streaming

I wanted a 4K TV specifically for Amazon Prime but my internet speed it nothing like that, it's nearer 15mbps so maybe there is no point

On the plus side you might have just saved me spending over £500 on something I can't use! I thought it would just buffer first then play, that's a bit silly if you need mega fast internet because it rules out a good chunk of the UK.
