Nice! Paid this for for 55” from curry’s about a month ago.
Cracking TV, I actually like the android OS, albeit it seems it’s not to everyone’s taste.

..is it, cos after updating my phone's to Pie I have mixed feelings, so was wondering, if it will be the same case in regards to my TV's system after its update?

spot on mate ,however i am waiting for the 65 inch sony 900f to hit my sweet spot of about 1250.back to the op,s post, this tv has a 100 hz panel so sport and fast action should be fine on this,i have an old sony non 4k 50 inch in the bedroom from 2015 with same panel and motion rate, and its been superb from day one,and still going strong.have some heat op.

Bit of an anticlimax to say if you’re in the market for a better TV you need to wait until it is reduced in price.... Hey, don’t buy a Ferrari as any day now a Bugatti may become affordable, by which time you’d be better off waiting for the next more expensive indulgence (ok ok perhaps not to that extent but seems a good buy for something that’s available today, if you get my drift)
Be warned the Android OS on these runs like crap
So me and my GF are hopefully moving out in the next 4/5 months. We agreed on a Sony TV. Now time to cinvince her to let me buy this one!!

Did you have to reset to factory settings before update? Heard the update will mess up the brightness. What’s your experience?

That aside, Android os is more than adequate and I love it. So much easier controlling everything on one remote.

No need to reset to factory settings, I downloaded the update via Sony support site on to a USB stick, then updated tv. I didn't want to wait for ota update, although you should get it in the coming months
I didn't have any issues with brightness
It's only available on late 2016 tvs onwards

Looks so much cleaner. I can’t wait
Lot cleaner and more fluid, it beats tizen and Web os now
Just bought it, thanks OP
I got this tv from ao.com same price came 2 days ago and very happy with it and android 7 seems fine on it so going to wait for over air update,
you get 2 4k movies free from play movies with it, picture quality is great on 4k and hd, and standard def looks ok too.
My only negative for me is the tv doesnt turn off from remote just goes to sleep and dont shut down usbs so i had to use a smart plug to plug in my lights around tv and use Alexa rather than using a usb on tv to power them also i cant leave my portable hard drive plugged in.
