thks

AWESOME.. im going down to my Tesco this morning to have a look.

Awesome price for 8GB let alone Sony.
I wonder if Tesco Metro in Plymouth has any?
Heat added. Hope I can get one.

Only if you can find them. unfortunately I never found them in belfast

Great price. Think i'll have a drive to Tescos later!

I'll refrain from voting either way until somebody (else) substantiates this offer.

Has anybody other than bmbratz found that these items are priced as suggested at the store in Sutton Coldfield or "...at other big Tesco extra stores"?

BFN,

fp.

Hot... but just a pity it is Sony... against my personal crusade :whistling:

I just brought the last one at Tesco's in new oscott for my brother, but have a look in other big stores or ring around.

At my Tesco it's £9.99 for a 4GB one (they had no 8s) so it's probably store to store

cool, heat for now until i try my local store

i wish people would stop thinking that sony actually make the components for their laptops etc, they just put their name on it and charge an extra 40% for the pleasure.

Good deal for this stick though regardless of being sony or not.

Good find, but surely not nationwide.

Rang round a few stores and no joy in Glasgow area, only have Sandisk. Cool for me.

G

Aaargghh did you have to buy the last one for your Brother??? I was thinking of popping down to sutton coldfield right now. Right now, I even put me coat and wellies on and all that.

Can I ask which Belfast Store was tried?:whistling:

i don't think people are doubting you, its just that you'll probably be the only person in the country who has managed to find one.

422 degrees now & still people are not finding the product but are voting it higher regardless.

It just spoils the site for all the valid deals available to everybody as those listings get knocked back down the first page of deals then onto the second & subsequent pages where members don't typically see them.

If nobody other than one person has found this item I am tempted to click "expire".

I don't doubt you bought at the price you said; what would be the advantage of saying you did when you did not?

My problem is that if there is only one or two examples of this price for this product in one store across the whole of the UK, it shouldn't be voted "hot" at all.

To answer your question, though, upload the scanned image to a hosting site of your choice, and then use the [ IMG ] [ /IMG] tag syntax, thus...

The above image is embedded by the following statement (removing the trailing space after the "IMG" & the space before the "/IMG"):

I don't know about expiring the thread but I have been tempted to vote cold on most of these Tesco thread.

Appreciate the OP posting it, but nearly all of them turn out to store specific with limited stock. Yet people are still falling for it and voting hot a bit too quickly.

Aha thanks for head up going to get into electrical stockroom in aston lane when i am back at work tonight :whistling:

Yes, as I mentioned in the recent "]Silver PSP 3000 - £99 John Lewis Instore" thread, it is not the fault of the member who listed the deal (they do not know there is only one or two of the items available).

The crazy voting is because nobody tends to read the contents of a deal thread beyond the description & the first or second comment (if that). They skip to the end, add a comment, up the "heat" & move on. If they just vote the deal temperature up without making a comment I doubt that a subscription to the thread is applied on a regular basis &, hence, do not realise that they have been a part of the problem.

It may be a suggestion (for the "]Feedback" forum) to implement a further status of "Confirmed" against each deal listing that is set by a Moderator, or other HotUKDeals member with a sufficiently high reputation.

Having a deal as "Unconfirmed" will not stop voting, but it may be a visual indicator to those visiting (in a hurry, without reading the thread) that they should wait until a "Confirmed" status is applied.

Do you (all) have any thoughts on this?

BFN,

fp.

Yeah sounds like a good idea, if there was a link similar to the expired and spammed ones where members could confirm a deal if they have been able to access it.

Deals could then show how many members have been able to take advantage of it e.g confirmed (56) if 56 members have clicked the link.

Might reduce the number of wasted phone calls / journeys for store specific deals.
