It's VERY expensive. Use a price tracking site like Camel Camel Camel to check the price before the referendum to leave the EU!

It was around £240-250 and had been for 18 months or so! I know this because I was saving up for one and overnight the price shot up by £50. Then when I'd almost saved the extra, it went up another £50.

I refuse to pay this much for something that was £250 a year ago so I haven't bought it.

To say I'm annoyed is an understatement.

Any idea where I can purchase the A5000 for cheaper than in argos?
Keep an eye on camerapricebuster.co.uk, the camera was £10 cheaper on the 23rd and regularly drops below £300

this is an old model, so this is quite expensive.

I am waiting on this to go below £300 but this is already the cheapest anywhere.

At £250 i would snap it up asap. £300 seems a lot for an old model camera

Blame the EU referendum.

I refuse to pay more than it was over a year ago! No, I've not bought it.
Given the age of the model, I would have paid £250 a year ago, (if I'd had £250. I was saving up). I wouldn't even pay that for it now. It's not worth the current vastly over inflated price.

I spent the money I'd saved on something else, in disgust or I'd have looked for an alternative.

I need a reasonably priced, decent camera with which I can use an Android smart 'phone as a viewfinder. But I'll have to start saving again now anyway.

Don't remember that unless you mean that dodgy multiple cash back deal with an Amex card.

It was around £300 until early September 2016 when the exchange rate market had the second big Brexit shock and it shot up to £350.

Just before the referendum it was £250, or thereabouts, just about everywhere.
It's these old deals for the newer model that makes me think nuh uh hotukdeals.com/dea…660

But the thing to really do when buying a camera is think about your needs, and whether what you want to buy can fulfil them. In particular consider whether you'd want additional lenses and the cost of these, Sony lenses can be quite pricey.

Stop keep having an orgasm over it then, unless you can go back in time put up or shut up!
Good camera, but cold. Paid 260-270 for an A5100 over a year ago on Amazon

Hardly surprising when you see how much the pound fell against the yen then
Beware, from the Q&A seems that this hasn't got the 50mm lens (on camerapricebuster.co.uk is usually around £200) but the standard 16-50mm kit lens.

Edit: just seen this on a computer rather than my 'phone and noticed this comment was about the a6000 not the a5000. The text on here is tiny on my 'phone. Apologies.

If I were having an orgasm as a result I might be a tad less annoyed about it.

I can only assume you don't have much experience of orgasms yourself or you wouldn't say something so daft.

Yeah, good old "taking back control", "nothing much will change", "blah blah blah" Brexit.
