that's very expensive, still. Add a decent lens and you're looking at 1K

Add a decent lens to any decent camera and it’ll be over £1k

Has to be amazon.
Bloody good deal! It's sitting in my basket while I decide if I need it or not!!
I can sell my a6300 body for about £450 so it will cost me about £150 to upgrade? Apart from the IBIS are there any other differences and is it worth the upgrade ?

If you change your mind, you'll easily be able to sell it on eBay for what you paid, probably even make a profit

the A6500 has a new front-end LSI chip which brings with it a few distinct advantages. For starters, there’s an increased buffer depth, and image quality – especially at higher ISOs – should also be improved.
The maximum continuous speed of both cameras is an impressive 11fps in Hi+ mode. However, the new front-end LSI has increased the buffer depth to 307 images for the A6500 (in ‘Fine’ image quality), giving you around 35 seconds of shooting time to choose from.
Touch screen us a big difference
A new feature of the A6500 is Slow and Quick mode which supports both slow motion and quick motion. This means you can choose frame rates between 1fps and 100fps in 8 different steps for up to 50x quick motion and 4x slow motion recording.
Ooh that's really making me want to buy it now.... But I'm really wanting that real time AF so might have to spend a lot more and wait a bit for the potential replacement for this to come out
I have the 6000 but this is a big step up
Bought the a6000 but now I'm even more tempted to get this is it worth the £380 difference?

Night and day over the a6000 and I had an a6000 for 3 years
I just bought the sigma 16 1.4 which is my new favourite lens
Bought!
Sorely tempting at this price... the inbuilt stabilization pretty much futureproofs this camera.
AF is stupidly good too... as is 4k video.

Is the image quality noticeably better or is it just the AF?
I find the AF a real hindrance on my a6000 tbh.

So you reckon it's worth replacing my a6000?

I personally would if you’re financially comfortable and wife gives you permission 😜
I didn't ask mine...!

I can show you a better camera at the £11.85 point. This is waterproof, whereas the a6500 isn't. I know which one I'd rather take with me to the local swimming pool.

Any advice on the lens for this camera? Like which one is good for taking portraits which one is better for landscape
But now do I want this, or to pay £50 more at John Lewis... or just stick to my NEX 5R and have £1050 to play with (after new lens).
Probably been asked a million times but how does the cashback bit work?

Sel85f18 is a great portrait lens but the tamron 28-75 is an awesomely sharp, great focussing zoom

I have just sold most of my Sony lenses and replaced with the three Sigma DC DN lenses: 16mm/1.4, 30mm/f1.4 and 56mm/f1.4. Brilliant.
Sigma 16
Excellent price. I've just recently bought a as new A6400 for £680 from Amazon Warehouse Deals or I would definitely have jumped at this deal. Difficult choice between the two as the A6400 has some features the A6500 lacks and vice versa.
