This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Lowest ever price for this A6600, Sony's newest APS-C camera. Sony £150 Cash back would bring this down to just £864, lower than the A6400.
Question mark as to Amazon's eligibility as it's no longer on the eligible sellers list but Sony says they are. John Lewis are selling at this price and they are defo on the list. Thanks to abeuk

Are you sure with cashback? Did not find amazon in list of retailers. Previously they had amazon there. Also they do not have it on listing as they usually have. With cashback amazing deal.

You could be right, I've had 4 cash backs from Sony for Amazon buys up to July last year, but like you say it doesn't expressly say if they are still doing it. Why would they drop Amazon? Lowest ever price even without cashback though, will look into it.
Is available from JL for the same price. And I believe Amazon are included in the promotion as long as you buy direct. I have gone for this.
Maybe it's time to ditch my box brownie

Thanks for the info, Amazon price matching I guess. You've done well at that price, great camera. I got the A6500 cheap last year and happy with that, but woukld have jumped at this.
Seen this in the thread for the RX10

Is that a recent post?

That's an A6000 not the A6600

Yes I know (comment deleted)
Got extra 5% off on vouchers from John Lewis through rewardsgateway, so went for it. Thanks abeuk.

So in total (including cashback) should work out for me as: 1014 - 50 (voucher discount) -150 = 814 and thats the price I cannot resist.

Yes, I sent Sony an email and they said yupp Amazon are included. If you look up my deal for the Rx10iii, I attached the email snapshot.
Awesome price!
£1000 for a decent mirrorless is only going to encourage mobile camera use.
Surprised Sony still sell A5100/6000.
- Well , Sony make the smartphone sensors so maybe they don't care about camera sales.
Was waiting for a good price on this. This is incredible with the cashback added, almost half its launch price!
Is this worth £350 more (after cashback) compared the G90 in the other deal? I know that this has better auto focus, slightly bigger sensor and is newer tech but an argument could be made to buy that instead and spend the saving on a quality lens.

The whole format thing seems really confusing but micro 4/3 seem to have cheaper lenses available on the 2nd hand market as well as being lighter

Is there any good deal with lens included? What would be a good general use lens to go with this?

Sony 16-35mm F4 would be the best allrounder

That's a slow heavy F4 full frame lens, the Sony E 16-55mm F2.8G is the best all rounder for this body, purposely designed for it, same eye-watering price though at £975 with cashback.
OOS, John Lewis sold out
You can still order through amazon
That clearance might announce a new apsc body. Sony is to announce 2 new cameras this month. Hopefully a mini a9!

Probably the Sony E 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 OSS at £484, they focus fast and are surprisingly sharp and compact. For a premium offering the expensive Sony E 16-55mm F2.8G would be a perfect match.
For video the E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS works really well. Loads of excellent primes to choose from, Sigma Tamron Samyang and Sony themselves etc

Could be, or it could be that John Lewis are tanking in the current climate. Mini A9 would be great.

There's good options in the lineup, the a6600 is the semi-pro model. Casual users may prefer the a6100 / a6400. Both great cameras in their own right.
Unbelievable price, too bad it is OOS now.
£1399 now

But if it's with Amazon as well?
Honestly, I expect an a5, basically a dirt cheap full frame, which would be priced between 1200 and 1400 therefore making the a6600 considerably less interesting.
Sadly, I'd have no interest whatsoever in a cheap full frame.
I ordered the a6600 to complement my a9.

I think toaster has covered it pretty well. Just wanted to add that if they are all over your budget, can try to find a S/H Sony Zeiss 16-70/4 if you can find one around or cheaper than £300. It performs similarly to the 18-135 and wider.

I have all the three apart from the 16-55/2.8 which I believe performs similarly to the 24-70/2.8 which I do have. If you do have the budget, should just go for the 16-55/2.8 and save money from buying any primes shorter than 50mm

Worth an upgrade from the A6500?

For the battery and the AF, yes. At the deal price, though.
Still available for this price?

No i think JL had jest few, I saw it early and had in my basket but later decided not to buy it, I got A6500 with £300 cashback so it was like £700 in total, I think I will wait for next generation, not really sure a6600 is a huge upgrade from a6500

It is if you need the new Eye AF - it is magical! Or if you have a bunch of unstablized lenses.

Although the S/H price for 16-35/4 (£600-£700) is cheaper than the 16-55/2.8, but I think the 16-55/2.8 is much better like toaster said if you don't have the plan to go FF any time soon.

We'll maybe but lack of usb c in 2020 and 4k 60 where all this is included already in fuji xt-3 make hard to justify uograde, I will keep my 6500 for time being, I will skip one generation

I happen to have both the X-T30 (performs quite similarly to X-T3 I assume) and A6600 at the moment. From what I can see, Eye AF performance between the two is is probably a league apart. The lack of USB C does not bother me as you will always buy 3rd party battery and charger combo anyway which cost less than £20. Can't comment on the 4K though as I still take FHD videos on Canon 80D

Well I am not buying a camera based on eye AF performance, I have a good Sony full frame kit to do so, I am saying that I would expect to have in top end camera usb c and 4k@60 at least,
I am saying that 6600 is not worth £400/500 upgrade over 6500 and I will wait for next gen with new sensor

Got you. If that's the case, I don't see much difference even between A6600 and A6000 TBH - a lot of native Sony APS-C lenses have OSS anyway, and most of them are not weather sealed.
