Great price for this neat little audio system. 40W with NFC, Bluetooth and a DAB tuner. Ordered one myself, mainly to replace an older DAB tuner. £170+ new elsewhere. Seems to be good value for money for the features on offer.

must be the only one here thinking it was a car radio
Excellent price (£249 in John Lewis) but there seems to be some issues with DAB reception reading Amazon & JL reviews.
ive bought one and the 7200 4k blu ray player for 89 quid - bargain !!!

Sorry....Being an absolute spanner....I looked at it as though it lay down, but actually stands up....DUH! Found and bought for kitchen
OOS
Good deal though
Unfortunately out of stock, otherwise I would have happily grabbed one. Thank you though OP!
It's a strange shape - that photo above is not in perspective, it actually sticks right out at the back.

Also, the power cable appears to protrude straight out from the back (ie. not down, left or right) meaning that surely this cannot be used up against a wall? (which would I presume be how a flat panel unit is desired).

Expired anyway.

Haha oh yeah sorry about that. I just picked a picture where it actually showed something other than a black slab of plastic X)

Back looks like this. The power cable is protruding, but I don't think it's meant to be up against a wall, because the vents are all along the back.

Exactly, another reason it's only pretending at being flat panel. Although it's not actually called that of course, it is marketed as such elsewhere.

Really? When I was looking around if it was a good deal, I don't remember Sony, Amazon or John Lewis etc mention 'flat panel'. I suppose some one out there might think it is by looking at it, but then that's them just being a little dim.

All I read was 'compact, space-saving design' 'a sleek shape that harmonises beautifully with your space.' 'Measuring just 385mm, the CMT-X5CD is perfect for bookshelves, kitchen worktops, and bedside tables.'. If someone interprets that as flat panel, then more fool them.

You seem aggressive presumably because its your deal.

First google result was Currys, who describe it in their title as flat panel.

The bulge at the back is ok, not that deep, but the cable is just daft.

I think I'd buy one at this price though.
