not bad for machine without blu ray player. by the way. what is the difference between slim and normal one?

This is for a laptop, normal ones are for desktops

I would imagine this will fit only Sony lappies?

Should be standard fit with SATA connection, though I would double check on height.

It's not 100% only Sony, but it would be worth checking compatibility first. I am aware of some 'common' hardware layouts with laptop gear, so it might be ok.

Unfortunately the link is saying £172 ish despite there now being 4 in stock, so I guess it's expired? (OK, I'm assuming a substantial price increase expires the deal, rather than it simply running out of stock)

I have a E6510 Dell latitude, the drive just comes off... will I be able to use this? Also, deal expired now...

Seems to be slowly going up everywhere, Amazon still have some around the £94 mark.

There are many with ebuyer but little concerned about the model number.

The one priced around £123 is BD-5730S-01
and the one priced lower £97 is BD-5730S (which is older model)

Just so you are aware.

I've tracked the drive down at base.com - £89.69 (possibly 4% Quidco as Electronics?)
base.com/Hw/…84b

Main heading is for BD-5730S, but barcode and description suggest BD-5730S-01.
I don't know the difference between the two.

It looks base.com is a good company but I never bought it from them. Any feedback. I would like to buy a few items from them.

Thanks

I believe Base is fairly reputable.
