Care to share what the panny can do more than the sony? Cause I think you're talking out your **** mate!

The sony is a very quick boot, it compatible with all formats and is compatible with BD Live, what more do you want from a Bluray player?

What Hi-Fi, among others, disagree! Have you compared them side by side on the same equipment with the same discs? Have you tested them blind to remove any brand bias you may have?

That aside the Panasonic is an older model, has fewer outputs (the Sony has digi coax) and costs more........:whistling:

Great - was about to buy from dabs at £105 and saw this on email this morning
Great deal!

This player was £80 with a free film a month or so ago, bit of a price hike...
Still, it's the cheapest around at the moment, so can't vote cold.

was £79.99 a few weeks ago with free movie"the taking of phelam 123"

True, it was £79.95 around X-Mas time (both on amazon & play). Wait a few more days until the price goes down again...

Excellent player - I've had one for a few months now.

Err...In addition to being compatible with all formats & compatible with BD Live, the Panasonic also supports DivX. The Sony doesn't support DivX. The Sony also doesn't have an eject button on the remote, which the Panasonic does...:whistling:

Both are still pretty slow to play discs (compared to PS3). Takes about a minute for film to start playing on both machines.

And many other reviews say the Panasonic has the slight edge in picture quality.
Take What Hi-Fi's 'professional' opinion with a pinch of salt...sometimes they talk utter cr*p whathifi.com/Rev…0i/
(£275 for a bloody kettle lead?)

Saying all that, both machines are great so buy either one as there's not much difference between the two.

Never have seen the point in them, yet some manufacturers still include an eject button...
